Love What You Do--I Do!!

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   Are you ready for the new catalog? Can't wait until June 1st to get your hands on some products? Well, wait no more, my dear! You can order a selection of products from the new catalog starting tomorrow, May 1st. Woo-hoo!

I'm going to tease you today with one of the items you can order--well, five items:  the new 2018-2020 In Color Stamp Pads! I was able to preorder a set and I want to show them to you and let you know about the features.  Here they are stacked next to the still current 2017-2019 In Color pads.

The new pads (on the right) stack so neatly one on top of the other, don't they! I love that! That's because they have little holes on the bottom and pegs on the top.

Here's the surface area comparison--there's not much difference there. The difference is in the ink formula. The new pads have a defoamer so you won't get bubbles like sometimes happened with the previous pads.

See that blue strip of color inside the lid of the new pad on the right? Isn't that genius? That way if you have a bunch of pads open, you'll know what color it is BEFORE you stamp. Here's how the labels come--4 different languages, plus the color strip.

That's exciting, right?! But, wait! There's more! Starting tomorrow you can also purchase products from the early release of the Share What You Love Suite! Here's what I already have (but this is NOT everything in the three suites).

So much fun! And I have one more thing to whet your appetite for new product--a card made with some products from the Share What You Love Suite! This card was one of our make and take cards at Stampin' Up's OnStage event earlier this month.

To make this card, we stamped one of the images in Mint Macaron Ink* (it's back) onto a Mint Macaron Card Stock* card base. We added a 3-1/4" by 4-1/4" piece of Vellum Card Stock and a 3" by 4" piece of the gorgeous Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper to the card. Next, we adhered a Pearlized Doily, a 3/4" by 3-1/2" strip of another sheet of the Share What You Love Specialty DSP, and a length of the yummy Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon*.

We stamped a sentiment from the "Love What You Do" stamp set in Tranquil Tide Ink and used the 1/2" Circle Punch to notch the corners. We adhered this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. For a finishing touch we added three Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.

I'll be sharing more cards made with this suite of products the rest of this week, so come on back! I'll have more information on how you can purchase these products tomorrow, too!

*These products are not available in the early release--you'll need to wait until June 1st to order them.

Last-Chance Products: Pop of Paradise

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   Here's a Stampin' Up retiring product PROTIP for you.  If a stamp set and the matching framelits (or punch) carries over to the new catalog, the 10% deal for purchasing them as a bundle does NOT carry over. So, if you're in love with a bundle that's carrying over and are putting off the purchase since you know it will still be available for another year--don't forget that it will NOT be in a bundle in the new catalog.

For instance, the fabulous "Oh So Eclectic" stamp set and coordinating Eclectic Layers Framelits are offered as a bundle in the current catalog and you'll save 10% if you purchase the in a bundle before May 31, 2018. If you wait one day, starting June 1st, these items will no longer be offered in a bundle and you will have lost out on the 10% deal.

Today's gorgeous card uses the Oh So Eclectic bundle. I received it as a swap card in November at a Stampin' Up event. I don't have the name of the artist who created this card, but I'll tell you how she made it. Also, let me point out that it uses a variety of continuing products, retiring products, and even a sold-out-already product!!
First, she started with a 4" by 4" piece of Berry Burst Color Theory Designer Series Paper (sold out & already discontinued). If you wanted to re-create this card you could use Berry Burst Card Stock. Next, she used the Eclectic Layers Framelits to cut a pattern in a 4" by 4" piece of Basic Black Card Stock. She adhered these to a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base, cut lengthwise.

Next, she stamped the image that fills in the flower of the "Oh So Eclectic" stamp set in Tempting Turquoise, Lemon Lime Twist, and Berry Burst Inks onto a Whisper White piece that she cut with one of the Layering Squares Framelits. She added Tempting Turquoise, Lemon Lime Twist, and Berry Burst textures from the "Oh So Eclectic" set. She adhered this piece to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

She stamped the outline of the flower in Basic Black Archival Ink* onto a Whisper White scrap and colored it with Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Write Markers. She added some Clear Wink of Stella on top for some pretty shine! She used one of the Eclectic Layers Thinlits to cut out the flower and adhered it to the stitched shape square with a Stampin' Dimensional. She also stamped the "hello" sentiment from the retiring "Pop of Paradise" stamp set in Basic Black Archival Ink onto a Whisper White scrap and punched it out with the 1-3/8" Circle Punch. She adhered this to the stitched shape square with Stampin' Dimensionals, too.

Finally, the artist tied a length of Basic Black Baker's Twine around the bottom of the card and tied in a length of retiring Berry Burst Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. This card is spectacular!!

*The archival inks are retiring, but there will still be Memento Tuxedo Black and StazOn Jet Black in the upcoming catalog, along with a Classic Basic Gray Ink.
REMINDER: retiring stamp sets will only be guaranteed to be available until May 25. All other products are NOT guaranteed and are only available while supplies last. ALL retiring items will be discontinued after May 31.

Next week  I'll be featuring projects made with NEW items that YOU can purchase starting on May 1st--a whole month before the new catalog goes live. The products are from the "Share What You Love" suite and I know you're going to love the projects, so come on back next week and see them! Have a great weekend!

Last-Chance Products: One Big Meaning

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations  I always buy washi tape and then I never can figure out how to use it. I don't feel like I'm very creative when using washi tape--I just kind of use it to hold down corners of a layer. But today's card is a fabulously creative way to use washi tape. I received this card as one of the black and white swap cards at a Stampin' Up event last November. It was created by Glenda Timkovich and it's awesome!!

Glenda started with a 3" by 4-1/2" piece of Whisper White Card Stock and wrapped several strips of Pick a Pattern Washi Tape around it. The good news is that this wonderful washi tape will be carrying over to the new catalog. However, the bad news is that the sentiment Glenda used from the retiring "One Big Meaning" stamp set. She masked part of the sentiment (or performed "stamp surgery") on one of the stamps and stamped the sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink* onto a Whisper White strip. Glenda adhered this strip to the washi tape panel.

The washi tape panel is adhered to the card with Foam Adhesive Strips onto a 4" by 5-1/4" Basic Black mat and then onto a Whisper White Card Stock card base.

Isn't this card stunning? I love it! Remember, retiring stamp sets will only be guaranteed to be available until May 25. All other products are NOT guaranteed and are only available while supplies last. ALL retiring items will be discontinued after May 31.

*The archival inks are retiring, but there will still be Memento Tuxedo Black and StazOn Jet Black in the upcoming catalog, along with a Classic Basic Gray Ink.

Last-Chance Products: Going Far

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I love to attend Stampin' Up events. I love seeing and playing with new products before anyone else. I love the presentations and business tips. I love getting together with other demonstrators who share this love of paper crafting. And I love swapping cards with other stampers. I get so many great ideas from swapping cards--and sometimes I receive cards made with supplies I don't have myself. Score!

Today's card is one I received way back in November and I've been holding onto it (and a few others) for a while. (I guess I've been holding out on you, too, huh?)  I participated in a swap of cards that just used black and white--one of my favorite kinds of swaps. Here's one of the great cards I received.

The main image is from the retiring "Going Far" stamp set and it's stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink (retiring*) onto Whisper White Card Stock.  The designer fussy cut the image and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals to a Whisper White square cut with a Stitched Shape Framelit on then onto a Basic Black scalloped square cut with one of the Layering Squares Framelits.

The designer wrapped a length of Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon around a 4" by 5-1/4" Whisper White panel before adhering it to a Basic Black Card Stock card base.

Finally, she colored some Rhinestone Basic Jewels with a Black Sharpie and adhered them to the card. Isn't it wonderful?!

*The archival inks are retiring, but there will still be Memento Tuxedo Black and StazOn Jet Black in the upcoming catalog, along with a Classic Basic Gray Ink.
I'll be featuring more retiring products this week, so check back for a last round of inspiration before these products are gone forever! REMINDER: retiring stamp sets will only be guaranteed to be available until May 25. All other products are NOT guaranteed and are only available while supplies last. ALL retiring items will be discontinued after May 31.
