Best Daisy

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I love to use Stampin' Up's Designer Series Papers on my cards. The designs are so pretty and it helps me to develop a color scheme.  The Delightful Daisy DSP is no exception! The DSP packages list the colors used, but sometimes there's another color sneaking in there. I saw a similar card to mine on Pinterest and the designer used Smoky Slate and it was gorgeous, so I had to CASE it!
I started with a 1-1/2" by 5-1/2" strip of the Delightful Daisy DSP. I adhered this to a 1-3/4" by 5-1/2" strip of Daffodil Delight Card Stock. I wrapped a length of Daffodil Delight Double-Stitched Ribbon around this piece before adhering it to a Smoky Slate Card Stock card base.

Next, I stamped the daisy from the "Daisy Delight" stamp set twice in Daffodil Delight Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock and punched them out with the Daisy Punch. I curled the petals with my bone folder, adhered the two pieces together with a couple of Glue Dots, and then adhered the daisy to the card with a Stampin' Dimensional. I popped a large Clear Faceted Gem onto the center of the daisy.

I stamped the leaves' outlines from the "Daisy Delight" stamp set in Smoky Slate Ink onto a Whisper White scrap. Then I filled them in with another stamp from this same set in Old Olive and Tranquil Tide, stamped off once. I fussy cut these with my Paper Snips and tucked them behind the daisy, adhering them with Glue Dots.

Finally I stamped a sentiment from the "Birthday Blossoms" stamp set in Tranquil Tide onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock and cut it out with a Stitched Shapes Framelit. I cut a Tranquil Tide scalloped circle from one of the Layering Circles Framelits. I adhered this element to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals and finished it by adding a medium Clear Faceted Gem.

Best Strawberries

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   My next four posts will feature another awesome stamp set from Stampin' Up:  "Fresh Fruit." So you'll see today's card and then you'll need to visit my blog next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to see the rest of the samples!! We made these cards at the Proverbial Stampers team meeting.

I started by stamping the strawberry outline in Basic Black Archival link randomly all over a Whisper White panel. I filled in the outlines with the strawberry stamp using Real Red. Then I added the stem outlines in Emerald Envy ink, filling them in with the stem "filler" stamp with Emerald Envy ink, stamped off once.

I adhered the stamped panel to a Basic Black mat and wrapped it with a length of Basic Black Solid Baker's Twine. Then I adhered everything to a Real Red card base.

Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the "Birthday Blossoms" stamp set in Basic Black Archival Ink onto an Emerald Envy scrap and punched it out with the 1-1/2" Circle Punch. I adhered this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Don't forget to come back to my blog next week to see three more samples made with this sweet set!

Pink Pansies

#stampinup   Before I share today's card with you, I want to share the fact that my "For the Birds" card was chosen as one of the three winners of the StampInkPaper Challenge blog! I'm so pleased!!

CCMC374
Today's card is my entry into the Create with Connie & Mary color challenge. I'm really loving this color combination! I paired it with two neutrals: Whisper White and Basic Black.

I stamped the pansy from the "Birthday Blossoms" set in Basic Black Archival Ink onto Watermelon Wonder, Calypso Coral, and Blushing Bride card stock. I punched the flowers with the Pansy Punch.

I used a Watermelon Wonder card base and added a Basic Black mat. Using my stamp-a-ma-jig, I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink onto a Whisper White panel.

I used my bone folder to curl the edges of the pansies before I adhered them to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Easy-peasy and pretty in pinks!

Retro Circles

#stampinup   I haven't played along in the Retro Sketches challenge in a long time. I'm glad that I have time this week to revisit and play along with one of my favorite challenges--I missed it! This week's sketch is really cute and I love the cards made by the design team.

I especially liked the cards made by design team members Sheri and Tracey. They had the same circle theme. Sheri used punched out circles, and that's what I chose to do, too. I wanted to use a bold sentiment like Tracey did.

I got out my Cherry on the Top Designer Series Paper stack because I love the bold colors and patterns. I chose Cucumber Crush as my focal color and I stamped a sentiment from "Birthday Blossoms" in Cucumber Crush onto a Whisper White scrap. I punched this out with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch.

Next, I punched a variety of circles (1" through 2") from a variety of the Cherry on Top DSP sheets. I arranged these on a panel of Cucumber Crush that I embossed with the Large Polka Dot Embossing folder. I added this to a Pool Party card base.

To finish the card, I punched a Crushed Curry flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and added it to the circle with the sentiment, using a glue dot. I then added the smallest Metal Rimmed Pearl. So cute--and so quick to make!
