Just for You Again

#stampinup   #saleabration2016   I can't seem to stop playing with the "Botanicals for You" stamp set and the yummy Wildflower Fields Designer Series paper--both of which are available as FREE items with a qualifying order during Sale-a-Bration. I love these colors and the bold sentiment!

For today's card, I started with a "whoopsies" element I had on my desk. I'd stamped the sentiment in Lost Lagoon and the flowers in Calypso Coral, with Old Olive leaves, onto a piece of Whisper White card stock for a previous card, but there was a shadow on one of the flowers, so I put it aside and started over. Today, I cut the panel down to 2" and made it into a label using the Scallop Top Label Punch. I rounded the ends of the tag with the Envelope Punch Board.

I slipped a length of Calypso Coral Seam Binding Ribbon through the tag, tied it with a length of Gold Metallic Baker's Twine, and tied on a length of  Gold Sequin Trim. I added a piece of Calypso Coral Card Stock, cut with my Fringe Scissors, to make the tag stand out atop the Wildflower Fields DSP. The tag is adhered to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals and the whole assembly is adhered to a Lost Lagoon card base.

Stepping It Up For You

#stampinup   #saleabration2016   Yesterday I used the "Botanicals for You" Sale-a-Bration stamp set to make a clean and simple card. Today, I've stepped it up a bit. I loved the layout that Amy Koenders used on this card. (You can see Amy's card and other using this set on my "Botanicals for You" Pinterest board.) But I'm still loving the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper--another FREE item with a qualifying SAB purchase--so I went with that!

Using a floral sheet of the Wildflower Fields DSP and Amy's layout as a starting point, I stamped the "just for you" sentiment in Lost Lagoon onto a Whisper White panel. I backed this with a Lost Lagoon mat. I cut a fringe of Calypso Coral with my Fringe Scissors and adhered that to the back of the sentiment piece. I adhered the sentiment piece to the Wildflower Fields DSP with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I wrapped a length of Pool Party 1/4" Cotton Ribbon around the assembly before adhering it to a Lost Lagoon card base.

Instead of stamping the cute flowers from the "Botanicals for You" set, I punched some flowers with one of the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack punches--one each in Hello Honey, Calypso Coral, and Pool Party. To finish the card I added a small Pearl Jewel Embellishment to the center of each flower.

Sweet and Simple Just For You

#stampinup   #saleabration2016   There are so many wonderful sets that you can earn for FREE during Sale-a-Bration--it's hard to choose my favorite. I had to have them ALL!! "Botanicals for You" has a big, bold, graphic sentiment, paired with sweet floral elements and three sentiments so you can create a card for almost any occasion. 

I paired this stamp set with the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper that is also a FREE item in the SAB brochure. I based my card on a similar card made by Alison Barclay, another talented Australian stamper. Alison's card is totally clean and simple. But, I had to add a few more elements to my card.

I started by stamping the "Just for You" sentiment in Lost Lagoon onto a Whisper White panel. Next, I stamped each of the flowers in Calypso Coral and the leaves in Old Olive. I just couldn't leave well enough alone--plus, I wanted to use the DSP. So, I cut a 3/4" strip of the DSP and a 3/4" strip of Calypso Coral Card Stock and flagged the ends with the Hexagon Punch. I wrapped a length of Whisper White Baker's Twine around the banners before adhering them to the card.

I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Calypso Coral mat and then onto a Lost Lagoon card base. To finish the card, I added a Basic Pearl Embellishment in the center of each flower.

While I like the way this card turned out, I wanted to step up the design just a bit. Stay tuned for tomorrow's blog to see a stepped up version of this clean and simple card!
