For this challenge, I created a Halloween treat box using the Gift Box Punch Board. I started with a 10" by 5" piece of Basic Black Card Stock to make the box/base of the owl. I cut three 2" strips of Basic Black Card Stock and then used the Best Badge Punch to create a scalloped edge. I love it when I can use a stamp in versatile ways!! I adhered the strips to the front of the box to make the owl's feathered chest.
Next, I cut a 2-3/4" by 3" piece of Basic Black Card Stock. I scored the short edge at 1", using the Simply Scored Board. I measured the center point of the opposite end at 1-5/8" and then cut a triangle to the scored line. I adhered this piece to the box with Tear and Tape Adhesive, folding the point of the triangle to the front of the box. I adhered the tip of the triangle to the box with a Stampin' Dimensional.
I used three sizes of Circle Punches to make the eyes: The biggest circle is 1-3/8", the Gold Glimmer Paper circle is 1", and the last circle is 1". I adhered these to each other and to the box with Tear and Tape Adhesive.
Finally, I stamped "happy halloween" from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set in Pumpkin Pie onto a Very Vanilla scrap and punched it out with the Duet Banners Punch. I tucked the banner under the owl's beak and adhered it to the box with a Glue Dot.
This would be a sweet Halloween treat box for a classroom or for your coworkers.
