Best Route Suite

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I've been traveling a lot this summer. First, I had a week-long work trip to Alaska. (Don't be jealous--it really was a work trip; we don't get out much.) Then, I had a 10-day trip to Minnesota to visit family. That was wonderfully relaxing as you can see from this picture. (And, no, I didn't use a "frosty" filter. I really am that pale IRL!)

This week I'll be on a whirlwind 4-day trip to and from Arkansas to take my daughter back to college. And next month, I'll be on another work trip, this time it's three weeks in Hawaii. (Really. It's a work trip.) I feel like I'm living out of suitcases.

In the spirit of all my travels, this week I'm going to show you some quick and easy--and adorable--cards that I made one afternoon using products from the Best Route Suite. I love, love, LOVE everything about this suite--it's perfect for cards and for scrapbooking. Both my twins will be studying abroad this year, so I'm looking forward to putting together a scrapbook for each of them using the Best Route Memories & More cards and other embellishments from this suite. I love the graphic designs and the bold color palette. As you'll see from my cards and my special surprise on Friday, the Best Route Suite can meet a number of your paper crafting needs!

First up, is this card I put together so quickly using the sketch over at the Fab Friday Challenge Blog.

I started by stamping a sentiment from the "En Route" stamp set in Blueberry Bushel Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock. I cut this out with a Stitched Shapes Framelit and adhered it to a scalloped Blueberry Bushel Card Stock circle that I cut with one of the Layering Circles Framelits.

Next, I used the Maps Etc. Embossing Folder to emboss a 3-3/4" by 5" Gray Granite Card Stock panel. I adhered this to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Blueberry Bushel Card Stock mat and then onto a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base, cut lengthwise.

The two flagged pieces are strips that I cut from two Best Route Memories & More Cards. (You'll see more of them later this week.) I flagged the ends with my Paper Snips. I also added a bit of Best Route Washi Tape.

To finish the card, I adhered the sentiment piece with Stampin' Dimensionals and added three Best Route Enamel Shapes.

A simple, fun, and quick design that can be used for a number of occasions. Come on back tomorrow and the rest of the week to see what else I've made from this awesome suite of products!
