I decided to use the "Dotty Angles" photopolymer stamp set because I haven't used it in a while and it needed some love and attention. I originally attempted--and abandoned--an ombre effect. I just didn't like how it turned out. I think with a little bit of practice, "Dotty Angles" would be great for an ombre background, but...ain't nobody got time for that when it's bedtime and you've got a card to make and a blog to write!!
Plan B had me using a Whisper White panel onto which I stamped a row of "Dotty Angles" dots in Rich Razzleberry and another row in Pink Pirouette. Yeah, that's much better than the original. I added a sentiment from the "One Big Meaning" stamp set in Lost Lagoon.
I adhered the stamped panel to a Lost Lagoon mat and then onto a Rich Razzleberry card base and thought, "Meh." I wasn't thrilled with the card. It was too "plain Jane." I tried adding some ribbon because ribbon fixes everything...well, almost everything. Ribbon wasn't what this card needed.
Then, huzzah! I found a bag of sequins left over from the March Paper Pumpkin--you get more supplies than you need with the Paper Pumpkin kits. These sequins are iridescent pink and gold--perfect for this card! I got out my favorite Fine-Tip Glue Pen and applied sequins to the card and, ah! That's more like it!
