Spooky Halloween

#stampinup   When I saw a Tic Tac Toe challenge on the Paper Craft Crew Challenge blog I jumped at the chance to play. This kind of challenge gives you so many options. I've seen these challenges before, but I've never played along.

I chose any purple + embossing + gold colored embellishment. I started with a Blackberry Bliss card base (any purple). I added a Whisper White panel that I embossed with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder (embossing).

Next, I stamped the "spooky" image from the "Among the Branches" stamp set in Blackberry Bliss and punched it out with the 2" Circle Punch. I adhered it to a Gold Metallic Foil Doily (gold colored element). For some extra interest, I twirled some Gold Metallic Thread and adhered the sentiment on top with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Finally, I stamped the "happy halloween" sentiment from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set in Blackberry Bliss onto a scrap of Whisper White and punched it out with the Washi Label Punch. when I adhered this to the card, the edge got lost, so I used the baby wipe that I'd cleaned my stamp with (I use baby wipes to clean my photopolymer stamps) and carefully swiped the jagged edge so it would show against the background. I think it turned out pretty well. I might try it again...on purpose, this time!

  1. Love the 'spooky' in Blackberry Bliss, Kathy! I like how the large dots in the embossing folder are carried over into the large circle for the sentiment, as well as the doily. Thanks for joining us at the Paper Craft Crew! ~Deborah
