Sparkling Snowflake

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   When I saw the Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Folder in the Stampin' Up catalog, I knew I had to have it! It's just one, giant snowflake, but I have loads of ideas how I'm going to use it. Stay tuned!

We used it at the Proverbial Stampers get-together to make this simple, but stunning card! Really, with just a few "ingredients" you could make a stack of these elegant cards in no time!!
We used the Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Folder to emboss a 4" by 5-1/4" Very Vanilla panel. We adhered this panel to a Thick Very Vanilla Card Stock card base.

Next, we stamped one of the snowflakes from the "Snowflake Sentiments" stamp set onto a Very Vanilla scrap, sprinkled on some Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder, and set it with a Heat Embossing Tool. We punched this out with the 1-1/2" Circle Punch. We punched another circle from some Gold Glimmer Paper with the 1-3/8" Circle Punch.

To finish the card, we adhered a 4" piece of Gold 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon to the card with a small strip of Snail Adhesive, then adhered the Gold Glimmer circle to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals, and the embossed snowflake circle to the Gold Glimmer circle with some more Stampin' Dimensionals. See? So easy--and so elegant!

The "Snowflake Sentiments" set is a must-have set. It has so many wonderful greetings for your Christmas cards!

  1. Beautiful card. I did not have any of the ribbon, and I could not find my gold glimmer paper, so I used the year of cheer washi tape on a scrap of very vanilla and Goil Foil paper for the larger circle. Did you mean to list the 1 3/4" punch for the larger circle? The 1 3/8" Circle punch is smaller than the 1 1/2" punch so it does not show the beautifully embossed snowflake. Thanks for your lovely idea!
