Thank You, Darling

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   If you've followed my blog, you may have "heard" me "say" once or twice that I love it when a plan comes together. I do. I love it when I gather a bunch of supplies--a stamp set, some ink, a punch or two, some yummy designer series paper, and ribbon--and put them all together into a card. I love each of the elements of a card as their own entities (just like I love each of my children) but I also love it when the elements fit together so perfectly (and maybe that's where I'll conclude my children metaphor, 'cause I'm not so sure they fit together perfectly quite yet, but they're getting there as they all approach adulthood.)

Today's card was the last of four that we made at the Proverbial Stampers & Friends new catalog event using the Darling Label Punch Box kit and my current favorite Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper. I love each element used to make this card and I love the way the designer put everything together perfectly into this card for us to re-create!

We stamped an image from the "Darling Label" stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock and punched it out with the Darling Label Punch. We adhered this to a Pool Party Card Stock circle punched with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch. Then we used Light and Dark Pool Party and Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends to color the image.

Next, we adhered a 3-3/4" square of Twinkle Twinkle DSP to a 3-3/4" by 5" Whisper White panel and then onto a 4" by 5-1/4" Night of Navy mat. We wrapped a length of Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon around this before adhering it to a Pool Party Card Stock card base. We adhered the colored image to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. The elements of this card come together to make a really pretty card, don't you think?!

Happy Birthday, Darling

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I've got a jaunty little birthday card for you today. I used the "Darling Label" stamp set and matching punch to make this adorable card. I also used my fave Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper.

If you look closely, you see that Monday's, Tuesday's, and today's cards all use the same layout--yet they're just a little bit different. Using the same layout, with a variation, is a good way to overcome a loss of stampin' mojo. For this card, I tilted the main image for fun!

We started with a 3" by 4" Whisper White Card Stock panel and adhered a 2-3/4" square of Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper. Next, we wrapped a length of Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon around and then adhered everything to a 3-1/4" by 4-1/4" Night of Navy Card Stock mat. We adhered this piece to a Petal Pink Card Stock card base.

Next we stamped a sentiment from the "Darling Label" stamp set in Night of Navy Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock and punched it out with the Darling Label Punch. We punched a 1-1/4" Night of Navy Card Stock circle and adhered the label. We adhered this piece to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Finally, we added a Mint Macaron and Grapefruit Grove Faceted Dot to the card for some special pizzazz!

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   Yesterday I shared the first of four cards that I made at the Proverbial Stampers & Friends new catalog event using the "Darling Label" stamp set. You really need to check out this gorgeous punch box--it includes a stamp set, a punch, two Stampin' Spots, and an acrylic block--everything you need to get you started stamping some adorable cards. 

Today's card uses what's quickly becoming my favorite designer series paper--Twinkle, Twinkle. That sounds like it's great for baby cards--and it is! But I think it's great for all kinds of cards. Like this congratulations card!

We started by embossing a 3" by 4" Whisper White Card Stock panel with the Oh My Stars Embossing Folder. We adhered a 2-3/4" square of Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper to this and then adhered everything to a 3-1/4" by 4-1/4" Night of Navy Card Stock mat. We wrapped a length of Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon around this piece before using Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere it to a Smoky Slate Card Stock card base.

Next we stamped a sentiment from the "Darling Label" stamp set in Night of Navy Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock and punched it out with the Darling Label Punch. We punched a 1-1/4" Night of Navy Card Stock circle and adhered the label. We adhered this piece to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Finally, we added a few Basic Rhinestone Jewels to the card so it would twinkle!

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I love Stampin' Up's kits. I also like the pretty kraft boxes they come in. But I was certainly WOWed when I saw the "Darling Label" kit. If you haven't seen it, head on over to page 44 in the Annual Catalog (click the link to the right, here on my blog) and take a look at it. Go ahead. I'll wait.

It's wonderful, isn't it?! Not only does it come with the cute "Darling Label" stamp set and matching Darling Punch, but it comes in a beautiful tin! It also comes with a clear stamp block and Grapefruit Grove and Night of Navy Classic Stampin' Spots. All you need is a bit of card stock, adhesive, and a few embellishments and you can make some beautiful cards.

We used this stamp set and punch at the Proverbial Stampers & Friends new catalog get-together to make the four really cute cards that I'll be sharing with you this week. Let's have a look at the first one.

We embossed a Pool Party Card Stock card base with the Maps Etc. Embossing Folder. Next, we stamped the "best wishes" sentiment from the "Darling Label" stamp set in Smoky Slate Ink onto a 3" by 4" Whisper White panel. We added a 2-3/4" square of Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper and then wrapped a length of Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon around before adhering this piece to a 3-1/4" by 4-1/4" Smoky Slate mat. We adhered this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals and added a Rhinestone for a little bit of twinkling bling.
