You're Sweet Gift Bag

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   Over the past few days I've been sharing projects that I made as a display stamper for Stampin' Up's OnStage event in November.  We were asked to make cards, scrapbook pages, and 3D items. Today's treat bag is the first of my 3D items. (I'll be sharing another one next week.) It also uses the "Cool Treats" stamp set and Frozen Treats framelits (the bundle will save you 10%, item 145181) and Tasty Treats Card Stock Pack (item 142771)--along with some other embellishments.

Here's how to make the tag for the treat bag.  I started with a 2" by 4" piece of Crumb Cake card stock.  I embossed it with the Sparkle Embossing Folder.  Then I punched the top with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and rounded the opposite end with the Project Life Corner Punch.  I slipped a length of Watermelon Wonder 5/8" Inch Mini Striped Ribbon through the opening and then tied a Thick Whisper White Baker's Twine Bow around it.

Next, I cut a Watermelon Wonder scalloped oval and a Whisper White oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits.  I adhered these to to the tag with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I cut a Crumb Cake cone and a Very Vanilla ice cream using the Frozen Treats Framelits.  I stamped an Early Espresso swirl from the "Cool Treats" stamp set onto the vanilla ice cream.  I adhered the cone directly to the oval piece and used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the ice cream piece to the oval. 

I adhered half a Gold Metallic Foil Doily and half a Delicate White Doily to the back of the tag.  Then I cut two 1" strips of Whisper White Card Stock and flagged the ends with the Banner Triple Punch.  I stamped the sentiment in Watermelon Wonder and adhered these to the back of the tag as well.

I used the 1-3/8" Circle Punch to cut a circle from a sheet of Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper and the 2" Circle Punch to cut a circle from a sheet of Fruit Stand DSP.  I adhered these to a Glassine Gift Bag.  I inserted a 4-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Watermelon Wonder Card Stock into the gift bag for stability and folded down the top of the bag.  I attached the tag to the bag using a Gold Binder Clip.

This design is a bit out of my wheelhouse, but I think it turned out very well (if I do say so myself, and I do)!

Seeing Ghosts

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I've learned a great many stamping tips (and some life hacks) from my friend, Lydia Fiedler.  She's an amazing person and an amazing artist!  You should follow her blog--you'll learn so much and you'll laugh so hard!

Lydia taught me to take a new package of Framelits and cut out all the images (without the associated stamps) and see what the shapes might bring to your mind.  You can do the same thing with builder punches with all their various shapes.  For example, Lydia saw seashells in the Blossom Builder Punch.  Well, I saw an iconic shape in one of the Frozen Treats Framelits!  See for yourself!

Aren't they just the cutest?! IKR?!  You know the ghost characters have names, right?  So I made Bashful (aka Inky) in Tempting Turquoise, Pokey (aka Clyde) in Tangerine Tango, and Shadow (aka Blinky) in Real Red.  I used the Owl Builder Punch for their eyes, which I adhered using glue dots.  I used a Project Life Journaling Pen to draw in their eyes.

PacMan is made from Daffodil Delight with the 1-3/8" Circle Punch.  His eye is also a piece from the Owl Builder Punch.  I used a Layering Square Framelit to make his mouth, like this.

I stamped the sentiment from the "Cool Treats" stamp set in Versamark onto a 4" by 5-1/4" Basic Black mat, sprinkled on some White Stampin' Emboss Powder and set it with my Heat Tool.  The ghosts are adhered directly to the card stock; PacMan is adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The black mat is adhered to a Real Red card base.

For a finishing touch, I added three Daffodil Delight stars from the Brights Enamel Shapes pack.  So cute!!

Sorry You Are Sad

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I love the tiny images in the "Iconic Occasions" host set (item 143199)--and I love how they fit into the scribbled circle image.  But for this card, I wanted to try something a little different.  I thought that the sentiment would pair well with an image that "faded."  Here's how I created the card.

I started with a 1" strip of Whisper White Card Stock and flagged the end with the Banner Triple Punch.  I used the Stamp-a-ma-Jig to position the flower pot image across the flag.  I stamped the flower pot image in Pink Pirouette closest to the flag.  The middle flower pot is Blushing Bride and the one on the left is Watermelon Wonder.  The sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake ink.

I embossed a 2" by 3-7/8" piece of Watermelon Wonder with the Festive Embossing Folder and added it to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock.  I adhered this to a Thick Whisper White card base using Stampin' Dimensionals. 

I cut a length of 5/8" Mini Striped Watermelon Ribbon and snipped the end with my Paper Snips.  I adhered this to the card with Fast Fuse Adhesive.  Then I added the stamped strip, also with Fast Fuse.

Another quick and easy card, perfect to cheer up a friend in need.
