Pretty in Mint

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations  There are so many wonderful stamp sets and bundles in the Occasions Catalog, that I'm hard pressed to choose my favorite.  Good thing for me that I'm a Stampin' Up demonstrator, so I can buy everything I want (within reason) and I get to apply my discount!

You, too, could be a demonstrator!  Signing up during Sale-a-Bration (now through March 31, 2017) comes with a signing bonus.  Not only do you get the usual $125 of Stampin' Up product for only $99 (plus all the demonstrator supplies you'd need to start your business), but during Sale-a-Bration you ALSO get to choose two stamp sets from the Annual catalog or the Occasions Catalog!! So if you've got $100 worth of items on your wish list, you should sign up to be a demo!  Click on the tab above or contact me for more information.

The Succulent Garden suite is one of my (many) favorites in the Occasions Catalog.  I love the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper that features many of my favorite colors.  And I love the Oh So Succulent Bundle that includes the "Oh So Succulent" stamp set and matching Succulent Framelits Dies.

You don't need the framelits to make today's quick and easy card.  I just used the two-step stamps to make the flowers.  I made 25 of these cards to swap at my upline's Occasions Catalog kick-off party.  I was done in a little more than an hour.

I started with a Mint Macaron Card Stock card base, cut lengthwise, and added a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Old Olive Panel.  I cut a 3-3/4" by 5" piece of Whisper White and added a 1" by 3-3/4" piece of the Succulent Garden DSP at the bottom.  Since the "Oh So Succulent" stamps are photopolymer, it was easy to see where to stamp the sentiment in Old Olive, just above the DSP.  I left room for the White Metallic Ribbon that is FREE with a $50 purchase during SAB.

Next, I stamped the two larger flowers in Mint Macaron.  I stamped them off the side of the card stock because I wanted them to look like falling, cascading flowers. Then I inked up the outline stamp with Old Olive Ink and aligned it so that it was perfectly placed.  I inked a smaller outline flower in Old Olive and added that to the card.  Easy peasy, and so pretty, if I say so myself, and I do!!

If you love this bundle, too, you can purchase it during Sale-a-Bration and be nearly to the $50 mark for a FREE product.  All you'd have to add is some Stampin' Dimensionals and you'd be all set.  But I know you're gonna wanna add more stuff!!  That's cool, because you can choose a FREE SAB item with every $50 you spend!!

Birthday Blast!

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I love Stampin' Up's birthday stamp sets--have I mentioned that?  I especially love them when they come with coordinating framelits.  The "Birthday Blast" bundle in the Occasions catalog is so much fun to work with!

I needed a card for a friend who is also a Stampin' Up demonstrator, so I knew I needed to step up my game!  For this card, I used a Night of Navy Card Stock card base, a 5-1/8" by 3-7/8" Emerald Envy mat, and a 5" by 3-3/4" Whisper White panel.  I stamped the large starburst image in Night of Navy Ink onto the Whisper White panel.

Next, I used the Star Blast Edgelit Die to cut the star blast image from Silver Glimmer Paper.  I adhered the bottom strip of the die cut to the card using Fast Fuse Adhesive.  I find that Fast Fuse works best to adhere our glimmer paper.

I stamped the "happy birthday" sentiment--don't you love that font?!--in Night of Navy onto a 3-1/2" by 1-3/4" piece of Whisper White Card Stock.  I adhered this to a 3-3/4" by 1-7/8" piece of Emerald Envy Card Stock and added it to the bottom of the card.  I wrapped a length of 1/8" Emerald Envy Taffeta Ribbon around the bottom of the glimmer element before adhering everything to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I used Glue Dots to adhere the stars (left over from the die cutting) onto the sentiment panel.  Cute, huh?

But wait! There's more!  I don't normally do "innies" for my cards, but since I had to add a Whisper White panel inside the card so I could sign it, I decided to do something special inside the card, too!

I stamped the "celebrate you" sentiment from the same stamp set in Night of Navy inside the card.  I die cut the flourish from the Silver Glimmer Paper and adhered it to the card with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.  Finally, I used my two leftover stars inside, too adhering them with glue dots.  Sweet!

A Great Birthday

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I recently celebrated a big birthday.  I don't know how I got to be this old.  I still feel like a teenager--well, in my head.  My joints are telling a different story.  I didn't want anything big and fancy, so my wonderful husband arranged for a group of our friends to meet at a new Mediterranean restaurant.  It was a great way to celebrate my birthday!

I got a few gifts, too, which were not expected, but absolutely appreciated!  I wanted to send thank you notes to my friends who came out to celebrate with me.  I grabbed the "All Things Thanks" stamp set and was thrilled to see that there was a perfect sentiment for a birthday thank you card!

I started with a strip of the Party Animal Designer Series Paper.  I'm so glad this DSP includes Pacific Point.  I love that color, but I rarely to work with it.  I also love how it pairs with Emerald Envy!  I adhered a 1-1/2" by 5" strip of the DSP to a 3-3/4" by 5" Whisper White panel.  I stamped the sentiment--"thank you for making my birthday happy"--in Pacific Point near the bottom right of the Whisper White panel.  I adhered this to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" piece of Emerald Envy Card Stock.

To finish the card, I tied a length of Emerald Envy 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon around the bottom of the panel and then adhered this to a lengthwise-cut Pacific Point Card Stock card base.

Thanks for Everything

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   One of my favorite stamp sets in the Occasions catalog is "All Things Thanks."  I don't know why, but I'm a sucker for thank you stamps.  I don't think you can ever have enough thank you cards for everyone you should be thanking!

The first time I saw this stamp set "in action" was on the card that I got from Andrea Withers, Associate Curriculum Developer and Trainer at Stampin' Up, to thank me for being a display stamper at the fall OnStage event.  I love everything about this card!

The card base is Thick Whisper White Card Stock topped with a Whisper White panel embossed with the Sparkle Embossing Folder.  The "thanks for everything" sentiment is stamped in Bermuda Bay Ink onto Pool Party Card Stock and cut out with one of the Sweet & Sassy Framelits.  Underneath the heart, is a length of Silver Sequin Trim, a length of Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon, and a 1" strip of Old Olive Designer Series Paper from the Brights DSP pack, flagged at the end with the Banner Triple Punch.  Adorable, right?

Andrea's card is so wonderful, that I had to CASE it.  You may remember that "CASE" is "copy and steal everything," but it can also mean "copy and selectively edit," which is what I did for my card.

I started with a Sweet Sugarplum Card Stock card base, a 5-1/8" by 3-7/8" Whisper White mat, and a 5" x 3-3/4" Sweet Sugar Plum panel that I embossed with the Petal Burst Embossing Folder. I added this to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Next, I stamped the sentiment in Sweet Sugarplum onto a Whisper White scrap and cut it out with one of the Layering Ovals Framelits and adhered it to a just-larger Mint Macaron scalloped oval cut from the same set of framelits.  Underneath I have a length of Whisper White ribbon from the Succulent Garden Ribbon Combo Pack, a length of Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon, and a 1" strip of Falling in Love DSP, flagged with the Banner Triple Punch.

You can purchase the supplies for either of these cards by clicking on the links below.  Remember, during Sale-a-Bration (through March 31, 2017) with every $50 you spend, you can choose a FREE Sale-a-Bration item!
