Jingle All the Way

Hey there! It's been a while since I've posted anything to my blog, or well, anywhere! Life gets away from you sometimes, doesn't it? Honestly, I've been knitting a lot because I also enjoy that and because I can sit in bed and watch TV while doing it. It's hard to stamp in bed--LOL!

But my annual Christmas card-making classes are an opportunity for me to get into the stampin' room and create cards. Stampin' Up has some awesome product in the July to December mini catalog and I'm all in on those. It's also Sale-a-Bration part 2! That's right! We're having another Sale-a-Bration. It ends on September 30th, so if you want to get in on the free stuff, you'll need to place your order by then!

I'm going to show you a card featuring the cute Playful Penguins Designer Series Paper that you can get for FREE with a $50 purchase. It's a-dor-able. Take a look at this card!

I stamped a sentiment from the "Holly Jolly Wishes" stamp set in Misty Moonlight Ink and cut out with one of the Seasonal Labels Dies from the Painted Christmas Suite. (Stayed tuned for some card from that suite!). I used a Blending Brush to add some Balmy Blue Ink to Basic White Card Stock. And I fussy cut the "critters" from the Playful Penguins DSP.

And I tried a little something new --I made a YouTube video! That's right--if you have about 10 minutes, click on over to my brand new Faithful Inkspirations You Tube channel where you can watch me show you how put this card together. And as always, if you want to order the products used on this card, just click on the thumbnails below and you'll be taken to my on-line store.

If you enjoy the video, I'd be super pleased if you'd leave me a comment--and if you have ideas on how to improve future videos, I'm all ears.

A Sweet Birthday

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   #saleabration2021           I recently celebrated my birthday and, of course, my BFF and fellow Stampin' Up demonstrator made me a wonderful card using new product from the January to June Mini and the Sale-a-Bration catalogs. My BFF is super talented and I'm always thrilled with the cards she makes for me. I couldn't wait to share it with you, too!

My BFF used the "Sweet Strawberry" stamp set and coordinating Strawberry Builder Punch on page 44 of the Jan-June Mini. You can purchase those together as a bundle and save 10% off the price of purchasing them separately. I love a bundled deal! She also used the super cute Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper that you can earn for FREE--along with the "Berry Blessings" stamp set--with a $100 purchase during Sale-a-Bration! My BFF's double Z-fold card was inspired by this card made by Anne Marie Hile. (Anne Marie has helpfully included instructions for making a double Z-fold card!!) Here's the card my BFF made for me!

My BFF used Pacific Point Card Stock for the card base and Real Red Card Stock for the Z-fold. And she used Basic White Card Stock for the panels.

On the front of the card, she stamped the strawberry flowers and vine in Granny Apple Green Ink. She stamped four strawberries in Real Red Ink onto Real Red Card Stock and punched them out with the Strawberry Builder Punch. She adhered two strawberries directly to the card and folded two others in half and adhered the centers, at the fold, to the card--giving the strawberries some dimension. She stamped the strawberry tops in Granny Apple Green Ink onto Granny Apple Green Card Stock and punched them out with the Strawberry Builder punch and adhered them directly to the card.

For the label, she stamped a sentiment from the "Sweet Strawberry" set in Versamark Ink onto Pacific Point Card Stock and used White Stampin' Emboss Powder to heat emboss it. She cut the label out with one of the Painted Labels Dies and adhered it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

She also decorated the envelope with some more of the Berry Delightful DSP and a stamped strawberry. So totally adorable!

I hope you enjoyed my full week of projects! I'm going to try to do better sharing my work during 2021, so please check back often. I'd love to be your Stampin' Up demonstrator! Please get in touch with me for any of your stampin' needs. Remember, you can always click on one of the thumbnails below and you'll go straight to my online store where you can place your order.

Stay healthy! Stay safe!

Creation Station: Cream of the Crop Shake Up

#stampinup   #creationstation   #faithfulinkspirations   Willkommen! Bienvenue! Welcome! It's time for another inspiring hop with the Creation Station Design team! This month we're pulling out all the stops for our “Cream of the Crop Shake Up” interactive cards. Our task, should we choose to accept it, is to pick our MOST favorite stamp set or bundle and then challenge ourselves to put together a playful, interactive card that shakes, flips, or spins. I've been wanting to play with the Honey Bee Bundle and coordinating Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper. These really are my most favorites--I don't know why I haven't played with them yet. So I got them out and set to work.

I was inspired by a spinner pop-up card I saw over at the Mitosu Crafts blog. Thankfully, Jay posted a video tutorial that could follow because I could never engineer paper like Jay did!  If you're going to try to make a spinner pop-up, I have two words of advice: patience and practice! Jay makes it look so easy, but if you're like me, you're going to need some fiddly time to get the mechanism just right. But it's doable and the results are so fun!

Take a look at the janky video I made, opening my card.

I used a large Stitched Rectangle Die to cut the center out of a 4" by 5-1/4" Whisper White Panel so that I could reserve that card stock to use later for the elements of my card. I adhered a 3-3/4" by 5" piece of  Golden Honey Specialty DSP on top and then a 1" by 3-3/4" strip from the same DSP. I wrapped a length of Basic Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon around everything before adhering to a Basic Black Card Stock card base.

I stamped a sentiment from the "Honey Bee" stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock (reserved from the center of the mat) and then cut it out with a Stitched Nested Label Die. I used the same die to cut a piece of Gold Foil. I trimmed the Whisper White piece so that it would fit into the Gold Foil Frame.

I cut two honeycomb pieces using one of the Detailed Bee Dies. I left some of the hexagon pieces in place and adhered it to the card. I used another Detailed Bee Die to cut out the bee from the Golden Honey Specialty DSP--it fits perfectly!!

Inside the card, I added some more Golden Honey Specialty DSP. I stamped some bees from the "Honey Bee" set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto the reserved Whisper White and cut them out with their matching Detailed Bee Dies. I cut a Whisper White rectangle with a Stitched Rectangle Die and stamped the "hello" and flower from the "Honey Bee" set in Tuxedo Black.

Two more bees from the DSP and the second honeycomb finish the inside--no wait! I added some Wink of Stella to the bees' wings and to the flowers.

I hope I've inspired you with my project. For more inspiration, hop on over to Dena's blog!
