C'est Magnifique!

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   #FabulousFriday   I adore the Parisian Blossoms Suite on pages 14 through 17 of the January-to-June Mini Catalog! I love the color combination in the Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper. I love the Parisian Beauty Dies! This card uses all those elements--and more! I received it from Sondra Jumper in a swap and I couldn't wait to share it with you!
Sondra stamped the Eiffel Tower from the "Parisian Beauty" stamp set in Versamark Ink onto a Champagne Foil Sheet. She sprinkled on some Shimmer Black Embossing Powder and set it with her Heat Tool. She cut out the Eiffel Tower with the matching Parisian Beauty Die. Sondra stamped a flower from the "Forever Blossoms" stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock. She colored it with Light and Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blends and cut it out with the matching Cherry Blossoms Die. Sondra also used the Parisian Beauty Dies to cut "amour" from Basic Black Card Stock.

Next, Sondra embossed a 2-1/2" by 3-1/2" piece of Pool Party Card Stock with the Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder. She adhered this to the bottom of a 3-3/4" by 5" piece of Petal Pink Card Stock. She adhered a 2-1/2" by 3-1/2" piece of Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP to the top. Then she wrapped a length of Metallic-Edge Petal Pink Ribbon around the seam where the two papers meet and adhered everything to a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base.
Sondra adhered the Eiffel Tower to the card with regular and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. She also adhered the flower to the card with a Stampin' Dimensional. She used the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the "amour" piece to the card. For a finishing touch, Sondra added a gorgeous Champagne Basic Rhinestone Jewel to the center of the card. C'est magnifique!

A Stand-Up Friend

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   #saleabration   #Fabulous Friday   What's more fabulous than FREE stamps? I know! Sale-a-Bration is the most wonderful time of the Stampin' Up year--'cause you get FREE exclusive Stampin' Up product with every $50 you spend. Or, if you host a party, you will get an exclusive host stamp set along with the normal host benefits. Or, if you join my stampin' team, you get $150 of Stampin' Up product of your choice, a stamp set of your choice (excluding host sets and SAB sets), a stack of 6" by 6" designer series papers, and a mini paper cutter for only $99. Yes--ALL that for only $99. It's a no-strings-attached bundle. If you want to continue on as a Stampin' Up demonstrator, I'm here to support you. If you just want to take advantage of the deal, that's fine and dandy.

Let's see a cute card that I made with the fabulous "The Gang's All Meer" stamp set that you can get for FREE with a $50 purchase. Seriously, this set is totes adorbs!

I started by stamping the cactus at the bottom of a 3-3/4" by 5" Whisper White Card Stock panel in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloring it with Light Lovely Lipstick, Light and Dark Mint Macaron, and Light Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends. Then I embossed it with the Subtle Embossing Folder. I adhered a 1" by 5" strip of Petal Pink polka dot Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper and then adhered everything to a 4" by 5-1/4" Basic Black Card Stock mat. I wrapped a length of Whisper White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding around and then adhered everything to a Crumb Cake Card Stock card base.

I cut a Whisper White Label with one of the Stitched Nested Label Dies and used my Stamparatus to position the sentiment perfectly. It's stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I used the same ink to stamp the cute meerkat onto Whisper White Card Stock. I colored him with Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends and then fussy cut him with my Paper Snips. I adhered the label to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals and the meerkat to the label with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

To finish the card, I added three Petal Petal Pink Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins. It was a breeze to use the Take Your Pick Tool to remove the sequins from their backing and apply them to the card just where I wanted.

Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you again on Monday for another quick and easy card for Manic Monday!

Topped with Icing

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   #FabulousFriday   I pulled out all the stops for today's card and it is truly fabulous, if I do say so myself (and I do)! I made this card for my BFF's birthday. I always try to make her an extra special card--because she's extra special to me and because ALL the cards she makes are extra! (I was inspired by this card made by Kerry Timms in the UK.)

I really had fun making this card! Here's how I did it. I started with a 3-3/4" by 5" Smoky Slate Card Stock panel and embossed it with the Subtle Embossing Folder. I stamped candles and lollipops from the "Piece of Cake" stamp set in Versamark Ink onto this panel and then adhered it to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Lovely Lipstick Card Stock mat. I adhered a 1/2" strip of Lovely Lipstick Card Stock (pulled out of my scrap bin--because I save everything just for occasions like this) to the Smoky Slate panel and then I added a length of Gray Granite Ribbon. I stapled one end onto the card and ran a bit of Snail Adhesive to stick the ribbon to the card. Then I adhered everything to a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base.

Next, I stamped the two pieces of the cake image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock and punched them out with the Cake Builder Punch. (I shared a Protip for making this easy by using the Stamparatus on this blog post!) I colored the cake stand with Light & Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends and the icing on the cake with a Light Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blend.

Here's the fun part: I used Shimmery Crystal Effects and Ice Stampin' Glitter from the Holiday Catalog to make the icing look extra special.

I punched a circle of Vellum Card Stock with my 2" Circle Punch and cut a Lovely Lipstick Card Stock scalloped circle with one of the Layering Circles Dies. I adhered the Lovely Lipstick circle to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals and I adhered the vellum circle to the card with carefully hidden Stampin' Dimensionals. I used a combination of Mini and regular Stampin' Dimensionals to add the cake to the card.

Next, I used the Botanical Tags Dies to cut some leaves from a Silver Foil Sheet and tucked them behind the circle element. I also tied a length of Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon onto the Smoky Slate Ribbon.

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiments from the "Piece of Cake" stamp set in Lovely Lipstick Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock. Working quickly, before the ink dried, I sprinkled on some Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder and set it with my Heat Tool. That's a Bonus Protip for you--emboss in any color. I used the Classic Label Punch to punch out the sentiments and snipped the ends. I adhered these to the card with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. Finally, I added three silver Metallic Pearls, 'cause why not?

That was fun--and my BFF loved the card, so mission accomplished! Have a great weekend. See you Monday for a quick and easy Manic Monday card!
