So, 'member when I said there were a TON of leftovers in this month's Paper Pumpkin kit? Well, I wasn't kidding. I had an idea for a quick Mother's Day card using a few extra supplies and accessories, but mostly just Paper Pumpkin leftovers. Here's what I came up with--and there are STILL leftovers!!
I used the Stripes embossing folder for the background panel to give the card some texture. I also used the open heart and 3 little hearts that were left over from the Paper Pumpkin kit. I think this turned out nicely, if I do say so myself!

It's here! It's here!
That's what I always say when I open my mailbox and see my monthly Paper Pumpkin box. (I'm easily excited.) I get a tantalizing email a few days before it arrives to tell me that it's on the way and then I start stalking my mailbox.
This month's Paper Pumpkin has enough supplies to create 8 cards--Paper Pumpkin formerly only created 4 cards--but now you get TWICE as many for the SAME price! Not only that you get Stampin' Up's exclusive photopolymer stamps that are only available through Paper Pumpkin. I'm really liking the photopolymer stamps. They stick so well to the blocks! And this month I got not one, but TWO Stampin' Spots inkpads--one in Island Indigo and one in Calypso Coral. Wowza! Again this month, the envelopes come with gold foil liners. I think that really makes the card extra special.
The featured item this month are wood cut-outs: one says "Congrats" and the other says "Thank You." I used my stamp pad to color the one of the wood pieces. Check out the photo. I've got some ideas for stepping up this set, but alas, it's bedtime and I'm dog-tired, so I just followed the directions...except for coloring the wood piece.
After you OOO and AHHH over the two card samples in the picture below, keep scrolling down and see an awesome video from Stampin' Up showing ALL the goodies that came with this month's Paper Pumpkin. I think they've really done a great job giving PP subscribers real value for the monthly subscription cost!
Don't forget: If you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin by the end of this month, you'll get a set of In Color Stampin' Write Markers--FREE!!!! Just click on the link over there on the left--don't forget to put me down as your demonstrator!

Thanks, Paper Pumpkin!
Last week I told you how AWESOME Paper Pumpkin is now that Stampin' Up has really stepped up the kits. This month's project is gorgeous--and versatile--and useful!! It's gift bags. The kit comes with die cut medallions and die cut alphabet letters--enough to spell out just about everything. And the kit makes FIVE gift bags!
Not only that, but Stampin' Up has switched to photopolymer stamps in the Paper Pumpkin kits. Photopolymer stamps are completely clear and super easy to use! They stick really well to your clear blocks, and because the stamps are clear, you get perfect image placement every time. I hadn't used Stampin' Up's photopolymer stamps before this, but I think I could get hooked. They're a pretty AWESOME addition to the Paper Pumpkin kits!
Speaking of AWESOME, check out this gift bag I made with the kit. AWESOMESAUCE!!! Now's the time to start a Paper Pumpkin subscription. Just click on the link over there on the left. When you subscribe by March 31st, you'll get a FREE package of In-Color Markers! Don't forget to put me down as your demonstrator!

A Real Life Paper Pumpkin
Before I talk about this month's Paper Pumpkin, I have an important announcement: The Occasions mini catalog is LIVE!!! Yay! I'm so excited about this Occasions catalog because I really and truly LOVE many of the items in there! Usually it takes me a little bit to warm up to any new Stampin' Up product--but not this time! I nearly went broke putting my pre-order in!! You'll be seeing lots of posts using new items from the Occasions catalog--and from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration catalog.
Want to see what's so exciting in the Occasions catalog? Just click on the link over there on the left. If you're one of my regular customers, you should have received your copy in the mail. If you're not one of my regular customers, I'd love to be your Stampin' Up demonstrator. Please, oh, please contact me. And if you just want your own copy of the Occasions catalog to ooh and ahh over, let me know and I'll get one to you.
Now on to...
...this month's Paper Pumpkin is an adorbs freestyle journal. It came with bunches of little wooden people (which one stamper said looked like the people on a restroom door--heh!) It took me a minute to decide what to do with all the people, but I added my whole family to the front of my journal. I zhuzhed it up a little bit using the "donut holes" from the designer series paper dividers. And I covered the "A" with a sticker that comes with the kit. I'm thinking about using the journal as a 365 gratitude book--and I just might. It's only the third day of the year. I think I can pretend I wrote something in it yesterday and on New Year's Day.
January 1, 2014: I am grateful that another year is upon us full of opportunities.
January 2, 2014: I am really grateful that God sent SNOW for my birthday! It's stunningly gorgeous.
January 3, 2014: I am really grateful I have two able-bodied (though grouchy) teenaged boys who can help me shovel the snow off our driveway so I can get to work.
That's a pretty good start. And here's the zhuzhed up MPP journal.
