Clean and Crisp Birthday

#stampinup   Today's card is brought to you by the Pals Paper Arts color challenge. I love playing along with color challenges because the design teams come up with color combinations that I might never have chosen or use colors that I "neglect." Sahara Sand is one of those colors that I kind of forget I have, so I don't often remember to use it!

Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge #PPA303

I started with a Mint Macaron panel that I embossed with the Lovely Lace Embossing Folder. I added this to a Night of Navy mat and then onto a Sahara Sand card base. I cut three Night of Navy flowers with one of the Rose Garden Thinlits and adhered them to the card with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen adhesive.

I knew Night of Navy would be a great accent color for Mint Macaron, but wowza, when I stamped the "Rose Wonder" sentiment and frame in Night of Navy onto Sahara Sand, I just swooned. This combination is so clean and crisp. I cut the label with another Rose Garden Thinlit and adhered it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I love all the textures in this card--and it was quick to make!

  2. Kathy, this is a beautiful birthday card! I wouldn't have thought to place the die-cut flowers on the flowers in the embossing folder, but it looks so great! Thank you for sharing your card with us this week at Pals Paper Arts!
