Bumblebee Surprise

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   Sometimes color combinations can be surprising. I never would have thought to combine Bumblebee with Purple Posy and Highland Heather. But when I got my make-and-take packets from the Proverbial Stampers group, I was surprised at how well these colors complement each other. Take a look!

We started with a 3-3/4" by 5" Bumblebee Card Stock panel. We stamped the posy from the "Gorgeous Posies" stamp set on this panel in Bumblebee Ink. I love that tone-on-tone look! We adhered the panel to a 4" by 5-1/4" Purple Posy Card Stock mat and then onto a Highland Heather Card Stock card base.

Next, we stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set in Highland Heather Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock and cut it out with one of the Hippo & Friend Dies. We adhered a length of Purple Tricolor Ribbon (Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, and Purple Posy stripes on one ribbon!) to the card and added the sentiment piece with Stampin' Dimensionals.

For a finishing touch, we punched a Purple Posy Card Stock flower with the Small Bloom Punch and adhered it to the card with a Stampin' Dimensional. We placed a small Champagne Rhinestone in the center.
