Moroccan Tiles

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I'm playing with the "Moroccan Nights" stamp set one last time before it retires and I've made something a little bit outside the box. I'm really pleased with how this card turned out and it was super simple to make!!
I started by stamping the medallion in Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party, and Wisteria Wonder on Whisper White Card Stock. Then I used the Layering Square Framelit that measures 1-7/8" on the inside to cut each of the "tiles" for the card.  I adhered them to a 4" by 5-1/4" Whisper White panel.  This left space for me to tie on a length of Whisper White ribbon from the Succulent Garden Combo Pack. I adhered this to a Sahara Sand Card Stock card base.

Next, I stamped a sentiment from the "Tin of Cards" stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a Whisper White scrap and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch. I adhered the label to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Remember: The products in red are retiring at the end of May. The ribbon is on sale! Tools and accessories are only available while supplies last, so don't delay if you want any of these goodies!

Petite Petals in Denim and Wisteria

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   It's that time of year again when I'm kinda sad and kinda glad.  I'm sad when some of my favorite stamp sets are retiring. And I'm glad because there's new stamp sets right around the corner when the catalog comes out on June 1st! Of course, as a demonstrator, I've already pre-ordered some stamp sets, the new In Colors, and some fabulous accessories, but I want to play with some of my old favorites one last time.

The "Petite Petals" stamp set and matching Petite Petals Punch are two of my favorite products. I love the little flowers.  They're so sweet and so pretty on a card. I've made two cards with this retiring set and some retiring accessories as well. I'll be sharing the other card tomorrow--so come back!

Remember: the retiring stamp sets are going to be manufactured up until May 22, 2017, and then Stampin' Up will stop production and the retiring sets will only be available while supplies last. The accessories are already only available while supplies last, so if you see something you want, get it while it's still available. Also, some retiring products are on sale--I've marked them in the thumbnails below.
I stamped the outline leaves from the also retiring "Grateful Bunch" stamp set in Wild Wasabi onto a 3-3/4" by 5" Whisper White Card Stock Panel. I also stamped a sentiment from the retiring "Tin of Cards" stamp set in Dapper Denim. I adhered this to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Dapper Denim mat and then wrapped a length of Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon around the bottom before adhering it to a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base, cut lengthwise.

Next, I stamped three flowers in Dapper Denim Ink and three in Wisteria Wonder Ink and punched them out with the Petite Petals Punch.  I curled the petals a bit with my Bone Folder before adhering them to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.  For a finishing touch, I added a Basic Pearl Embellishment to each flower. (Right now the Basic Pearl Embellishments are sold out--but never fear, there will be a similar set of pearl embellishments in the new catalog!)

Grateful Flowers

#stampinup   One of my favorite things about attending Stampin' Up events is seeing the variety of card created by other stampers. We all spend hours taking pictures of cards on the display boards. I saw one at the April OnStage event that was so pretty, I just had to CASE (copy and share everything) it!!

This card uses one of my favorite sets from the Occasions catalog. I was so happy to see it--and its matching punch--carried over to the current catalog.

I started with a Wild Wasabi card base and added layers of Blushing Bride and Watermelon Wonder. The stamping is done on a Whisper White panel. I stamped the leaf outlines from the "Grateful Bunch" stamp set in Wild Wasabi. Next, I stamped the group of three flowers a couple of times in Basic Black Archival Ink onto Whisper White scraps. I colored these flowers in Blushing Bride and Watermelon Wonder using a Blender Pen. I adhered the flowers to the card with Glue Dots.

The sentiment from the "Tin of Cards" stamp set--also carried over into the new catalog--is stamped in Wild Wasabi Ink. Each flower has a Basic Pearl in the center.

This card reminds me of a daisy chain and I really love these colors together. They're wonderful for a spring or summer happy hello!

English Garden Birthday

#stampinup   My favorite designer series paper in the 2015-2016 annual catalog--by far--is English Garden. I love the colors and the designs. The designs are so soft and pretty. I used a sheet of this DSP for my picture frame project from last week and have the remaining bits left near my cutting station. I didn't want them to go to waste, so I used them for today's project!

Of course, I started this card with the English Garden DSP panel, but I added a top layer of Vellum Card Stock to mute the design even more. I adhered the vellum with three strategically placed glue dots. I adhered these pieces to a Night of Navy mat. I tied two lengths of Whisper White Baker's Twine around the card (cleverly concealing the glue dots) before adhering everything with Stampin' Dimensionals to a Hello Honey card base.

I stamped a sentiment from the "Tin of Cards" stamp set in Night of Navy ink onto a Whisper White scrap and punched it out with the Note Tag Punch. I adhered this to the DSP, underneath the vellum.

This is a quick and easy card that's easy to mass produce for all your spring time birthdays, because I hope you are joining me: "#imbringingbirthdaysback. You can click on any of the supplies in the list below and you'll be brought straight to my online store where you can make your purchases...before some of these items retire at the end of May! You can also purchase your very own #imbringingbirthdaysback stamp!

A Flowering Birthday (Take Two)

#stampinup   #saleabration2016   Yesterday I shared a card that I CASEd from a design by Australian stamper Louise Sharp. I love the clean and simple design of Louise's card and it was a great showcase for two of the wonderful items you can earn for FREE (with each qualifying $50 order) during Sale-a-Bration: the "Flowering Fields" stamp set and the coordinating Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper.

After I made my initial card, there were a couple of things I'd like to change, to step it up a bit. I also wanted to use the thistles from the "Flowering Field" stamp set for a bit of variety. I stamped the thistles in Basic Black Archival Ink onto a Whisper White Thick Card Stock panel. I also stamped the sentiment from the "Tin of Cards" stamp set in Basic Black Archival Ink.

Using a Blender Pen, I colored the thistles with Wisteria Wonder Ink and the leaves and stems with Old Olive Ink. I added some shading around the thistles with Smoky Slate.

Just like yesterday's card, I added a strip of Old Olive Wildflower Fields DSP to the bottom of the panel and tied a length of Whisper White Baker's Twine around. But this time, I added a large Whisper White Designer Button!

I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Crumb Cake mat--this time cut a bit larger. I pierced the perimeter of the mat using the Updated Essentials Piercing Template and my Piercing Tool. Then I used my scissors to rough up the edges of the Crumb Cake mat.  Here's a detail of the card.

Finally, I adhered the Crumb Cake mat to a Crumb Cake card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. I love both cards--one is simple and the other is also simple, but with a little extra detail!
