Dotty Potpourri

When I saw Mary Brown's totes adorb take on this week's Create with Connie & Mary sketch challenge, I just squealed. It's practically perfect in every way! Go to the link above and check Mary's card and all the design team's cards. You will really be inspired!

My card came together quickly. I knew the "Stacked with Love" DSP pack had a cute polka dotted piece that I could use for the design. I stamped the solid flower from "Petal Potpourri" in Crisp Cantaloupe and punched it with the matching Flower Medallion punch. But when I went to mount it onto the DSP, it kind of got lost. So I punched another flower from Basic Black card stock and used it as a shadow, and remarkably, that made the stamped flower stand out more.

Finally, I used my favorite go-to sentiment set, "And Many More," to stamp a "happy birthday" banner that I flagged with the banner punch. I added a bit of Whisper White Painted Blooms Cotton Twine, because I can't seem to make a card without some sort of ribbon!!
