Thanks for the Memories

One of my bosses is retiring at the end of the month. Yay for her, but boo for me! It's been great being part of her team. We've literally traveled the world together. I'm going to miss her. I wanted to make a special card for her.

The sketch on the Paper Craft Crew Challenge blog was just the ticket!

Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch 136 #stampinup #papercraftcrew #papercrafts #cardchallenge

I started with a Blushing Bride, Pistachio Pudding, Basic Black color scheme in mind and knew I'd use a Tea Lace Paper Doily for the circle element from the sketch. Something was just a little plain Jane, so I added a mat of Smoky Slate that I embossed with the Honeycomb embossing folder.

I gave my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig a workout! I wanted to use three elements from the "Simply Wonderful" stamp set and I wanted them to align. Well, let's just say: "Close enough for government work." (I'm a government worker, so I can say that!)

I hope she likes the card!
