A Bright Birthday

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   Today's card is another one of the fabulous cards we made at the Proverbial Stampers get-together.  I love these gatherings because we come home with a stack of cards to share for inspiration.   We often use stamp sets that I don't own, so it's a good way to get samples from additional sets.

Today's card uses the "Birthday Bright" stamp set. I overlooked this cute set when I flipped through the Occasions catalog--and I've flipped through it a million times (more or less).  The set coordinates with the oh-so-cute Birthday Bright Project kit, but you can use it to make cards without the kit (but you should get the kit 'cause it's cute and it comes with a cute storage box that's cuter IRL than in the catalog).

Starting with a 4" by 3" piece of Whisper White Card Stock, we stamped the flag banners from the set in Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach, and Pool Party at the top left corner.  Then we stamped "happy" in Pool Party and "birthday" in Chocolate Chip.  That last color is a little outside the box, but I think it looks fabulous on this card and really stands out!

We adhered this stamped piece to a 4-1/4" by 3-1/4 piece of Pool Party Card Stock.  We built the card starting with a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base, onto which we adhered a Peekaboo Peach mat, and then a 2-1/2" strip of the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper.

We wrapped a length of Pool Party 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon around the stamped piece and mat and tied a length of the adorable Whisper White Mini Pompons Trim into the knot. I think that really makes the card!  The stamped piece is adhered to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Remember, during Sale-a-Bration (now through the end of March 2017), with every $50 purchase, you can choose a FREE SAB item.  Contact me today to place your order!  I appreciate your business!
