Fab Colors

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   #WednesdayChallenge   #FabFri166   Stampin' Up debuted their new 2019-2021 In Colors with the new catalog on June 1st. (I can't believe I just typed "2021." That seems so far away, doesn't it?) Those colors are Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray, and Purple Posy.  I never thought of using these colors together--until I was challenged to do so by the Fab Friday Design Team. And so I did!
I have to admit that I CASEd the idea from Fab Friday design team member Brian King. I've been a bit stymied by the "Beauty Abounds" stamp set, so I pinned a bunch of examples on Pinterest. I love Brian's clean and simple design, so I tried it with the new In Colors and I think they work well together on this card. I stamped off the Rococo Rose twice because it is to much bolder than the Seaside Spray and Purple Posy. The Whisper White Layer is 3-3/4" by 5" and it's adhered to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Pretty Peacock Card Stock mat. The card base is Terracotta Tile.

I stamped a sentiment from the "Varied Vases" stamp set in Pretty Peacock Ink onto Whisper White and cut it out with one of the Stitched Shapes Dies. I adhered this to a scalloped Purple Posy Card Stock circle that i cut with a Layering Circles Die. I adhered this piece to the card with Stampn' Dimensionals.

For a finishing touch, I added four Basic Rhinestone Jewels, 'cause I like me some bling!

Thanks to the Fab Friday Design Team for challenging me to stamp outside my box and a special thanks to Brian for the inspiring design!
