A Beautiful Birthday

#stampinup   This week's color challenge at the Stamps, Ink & Paper (SIP) challenge blog stymied me for a bit. I love the color combination, but I just couldn't get the mojo going to create something fabulous. I ended up with a clean and simple design, but I'm not sure all the elements work together. Oh well, as my "frenemy" Donna-from-junior-high used to say as she was teasing her bouffant and spraying her Aquanet hairspray, "You can only get the front right." In my card's case, I could only get the colors right. Better luck next time!

SIP Color Challenge 3

I started with a Whisper White panel and stamped the design from "Everything Eleanor" in Smoky Slate and used my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig to stamp it again, slightly off-set, in Bermuda Bay. I used my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig again to align the sentiment from "Birthday Blossoms" and stamped it in Real Red.

I mounted this onto a Real Red panel and tied on a length of Real Red 1/l4" Cotton Ribbon. I mounted this onto a Smoky Slate card base. I added three Bermuda Bay Candy Dots at the bottom to finish the design.
