I love how they bundle a stamp set and framelits and then have coordinating papers and accessories. It makes designing cards--and scrapbook pages, for those who are so inclined--so easy-peasy. Matchy-matchy-easy-peasy! Take a look at this card that we made at the Stampin' Up OnStage preview where we got to play with new product 2 months before it was released to the general public!!

We used the "Bubble Over" stamp set and coordinating Bottles & Bubbles Framelits that you can get in a bundle and save 10% off the cost of purchasing them separately. We stamped the bottle in Lemon Lime Twist Ink onto a Whisper White piece; we stamped off Lemon Lime Twist once to make the label; and the "thank you" is stamped in Calypso Coral onto Whisper White. Each of these pieces was cut with the coordinating Bottles & Bubbles Framelit. Do you see that straw?! It's cut with it's own framelit, too. So super cute!

We stamped the bubble stamp in Lemon Lime Twist onto a 3" by 4" piece of Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock and adhered it to a Bermuda Bay Card Stock card base. Then we adhered four 3/4" by 3-3/4" strips of Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper that you can earn FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration! We adhered the label parts to the bottle and then used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the bottle to the card, slipping the straw behind the bottle and adhering that with a strategically hidden bit of Snail Adhesive. 

If you look really closely, you can see the awesome Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes bubbling up out of the bottle and onto the top of the card! These cute epoxy shapes come two ways--round and teardrop, which go well with the "Sunshine & Rainbows" stamp set!

Now on to our regularly scheduled stampin' program. How cute is this card?! The bird and sentiment are from the "Petal Palette" stamp set in the Occasions catalog. (Click on the link on the right side of this blog.) The bird is stamped in Calypso Coral Ink and the sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink onto a Whisper White circle punched with the 2-1/4" Circle Punch. The Designer Series paper (3-1/2" by 5-1/2") is called Petal Passion--it's printed from a handpainted watercolor design and all the sheets are in shades of black and white. I colored in some of the flowers with a Calypso Coral Stampin' Write Marker. The DSP is adhered to a Calypso Coral Card Stock card base.

I adhered a 3-1/2" by 3/4" strip of striped DSP from the same package and a 3-1/2" by 3/4" strip of Smoky Slate Card Stock to the card. I then added a long length of 1/4" Whisper White Organza Ribbon, looping it back and forth. This ribbon is so pretty! Then I adhered the stamped bird image with Stampin' Dimensionals. To finish the card I used Glue Dots to adhere two of the Petal Passion metallic embellishments to the card.

Enjoyable Bear

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   #ublueunwind   I have one more adorable card using the "Pieces & Patterns" stamp set that we made at Lydia Fiedler's Unwind Retreat in November. I actually discovered the card (and several others) as I did a little new year's cleaning in my stamping room. It's time to put away the retiring product and get out the new product and do a little organizing so I'm ready to start the new (stamping) year off right! I'm not quite finished--I'm never actually finished; it's always a work in progress. But I've brought a little order to the disorder. I like to create in an organized environment. I can't create when there's a mess. When I'm finished creating, there's always a mess--the crafter-math. But I can't start off in a mess. I even alphabetized my stamp sets--and turned down the sets I haven't used yet, so I remember to use them and put them on the blog. It's a little OCD, but I'm going to give this idea a whirl and see how I like it.

Lydia taught us a technique with this card--but I didn't pay attention and I did it wrong. So my card is just a really cute card, sans special technique.  I stamped the starburst from the "Lovely Inside and Out" stamp set in Flirty Flamingo randomly onto a 3-3/4" by 5" Whisper White panel. I adhered this to a 3-3/4" by 5-1/8" Lemon Lime Twist mat. 

Next, I stamped the adorable bear and a sentiment from the "Pieces & Patterns" stamp set in Basic Black Archival Ink onto a square of Whisper White that Lydia had pre-cut with one of the square Stitched Shapes Framelits. I adhered this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals and then tied on a length of Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon. I adhered this to a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base, cut lengthwise.

I had totally overlooked the "Pieces & Patterns" stamp set in the annual catalog, but Lydia brought out its potential and now I'm in love with it!!

Simply Wild

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   #ublueunwind   Happy New Year! I can't believe another year has flown by! Our family stayed in for the night and hibernated and it was glorious! No one had to get dressed up; no late night drive home. Just vegging in our jammies. I think we might make that a new tradition. I don't really make new year's resolutions, but one of my goals is to get back to stamping and blogging every week day during 2018. I was able to achieve that goal for two years running...and then I slacked off in 2017. Big time. So wish me luck and come back every weekday and visit my blog for a new posting. Today's project is an oldie, but a goodie. Well, it's not so old, but I've had this card since I attended Lydia Fiedler's Unwind Retreat in Salt Lake City in November. I completely forgot that I hadn't shared it. I love, love, love this super simple technique! Lydia's like that--she gives us techniques that we should have been able to figure out on our own, but it takes her genius to bring these ideas to fruition. Look at how cute this card is!

You know those tiny strips of cardstock that you have left over after cutting down your mats--like the Lemon Lime Twist mat on this card? What do you do with yours? I toss mine because they're too narrow to stamp a sentiment on. (I save my 1/2" strips, but anything less than 1/2" gets recycled.) Well, Lydia apparently saves hers and then she lines them up and adheres them to a simple Crumb Cake mat (3-3/4" by 5"). And then she stamps on them. What?! This little dinosaur and the sentiment is from the "Pieces and Patterns" stamp set and stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink. 

I adhered the stamped mat to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Lemon Lime Twist mat and then onto a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base, cut lengthwise. So adorable!!
