Pretty in Pink

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I hope you've been enjoying a week of cards using the "Dragonfly Garden" stamp set. I have one more fun card for you this week and I think I've saved the best for last! Today's card uses elements from the Peony Garden Suite along with the Dragonfly Garden Bundle. It's so soft and subtle I just love it!

This is a "fun fold" card. It's much easier to make than you'd imagine. I started with  4-1/4" by 8-1/2" piece of Petal Pink Card Stock and scored it at 5-1/2". That's your card base. Next I cut a 3" by 8-1/2" Petal Pink Card Stock piece and scored it at 4-1/4". I cut a 3-1/4" by 4-1/2" piece of Basic White Card Stock and adhered it in the center of the larger part of the card base. Then I adhered the smaller Petal Pink piece to the center of this piece, with the fold on the left. I cut 2-3/4" by 4" piece of Whisper White and adhered this to the center of the smaller, folded Petal Pink piece, like this.

I cut a 3" by 4" piece of the gorgeous Peony Garden Designer Series Paper and adhered it to the front, right side of the card base. And I cut a 2-3/4" by 4" piece of another sheet of the Peony Garden DSP and adhered it to the front of the top folded piece.

Whew! It's easy done, than said or typed, really!

Next, I stamped a dragonfly from the "Dragonfly Garden" stamp set in Petal Pink Ink onto Basic White Card Stock and punched it out with the Dragonflies Punch. I cut a circle from Basic White Card Stock using one of the Stitched Shapes Dies. I adhered the circle directly to the front of the card and used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the dragonfly to the circle.

I stamped a sentiment from the "Dragonfly Garden" set in Petal Pink onto a 3/4" by 2" Basic White piece and adhered it to the card, slipping it under the stitched circle.

For a finishing touch, I added three of the pretty Petal Pink Elegant Faceted Gems to the front of the card. So lovely!

I hope you have a restful weekend and I'll see you on Monday!

Inspiration

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   Today's dragonfly card steps out of the Dandy Garden box and into a whole new way to use the "Dragonfly Garden" stamp set and Dragonflies Punch. It's subtle and colorful at the same time and it's got plenty of texture. Let's take a look!

I started by embossing a 4" by 5-1/4" Basic White Card Stock panel with the Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing Folder. That's one of my favorite embossing folders! I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere this panel to a Basic White Card Stock card base to give it some dimension. Next, I embossed a 3" square of Basic White Card Stock with the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder and then cut it out with one of the Layering Squares Dies. I adhered this to a 3-1/2" square of Bermuda Bay Card Stock--and then onto the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped the dragonfly in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron, and Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends. I punched it out with the Dragonflies Punch and adhered it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. I then stamped a sentiment from the "Dragonfly Garden" set in Tuxedo Black onto Basic White Card Stock and punched it out with the Double Oval Punch. I used the same punch to make a scalloped oval mat from Bermuda Bay Card Stock. I adhered these pieces together and added the completed label to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

For a finishing touch, I added three Artistry Blooms Sequins to the card--these sequins are amazing because they coordinate with just about everything!

I'll have one more dragonfly card for you tomorrow...and it's also outside the Dandy Garden box--just so you can see how versatile this set is!

Fluttering Dragonfly

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   How are you doing today? I'm feeing pretty good for getting to "hump day" and I'm already looking forward to a 3-day weekend! We started off our dragonfly week with a Basic Gray and Blackberry Bliss card. On Tuesday, we had a Mossy Meadow and Bumblebee card. Today, we're going swap out the Mossy Meadow and use a 2020-2022 In Color: Misty Moonlight. All thee cards have used a color palette based on the Dandy Garden 6" by 6" Designer Series Paper. How fun is that?

For today's card, I started by stamping some fluttering dragonflies in Bumblebee Ink onto the side and bottom of a
4-1/4" by 5" Basic White Panel. I stamped a sentiment in Misty Moonlight Ink onto the bottom of the panel and then I adhered this to a Misty Moonlight Card Stock card base.

Next, I layered on some Dandy Garden DSP. I added a 1" by
4-1/4" striped strip across the middle and then two different
1-1/4" by 3-1/4" Misty Moonlight patterns on either side of that. I stamped the dragonfly wing shadow in Bumblebee Ink twice onto a 2" by 2-1/4" Bumble Bee Card Stock piece. I adhered this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I used the Dragonflies Punch to punch a dragonfly image out of the Dandy Garden DSP and adhered that onto the Bumblebee Card Stock piece. Doesn't it look like the dragonfly is coasting over the card? I think that's a fun way to use the shadow stamp!

Tomorrow I'll be showing you yet another way to use this stamp set. I think you'll like seeing how versatile it is!!

Dragonflies and Ladybugs

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   Welcome to day two of our week of dragonflies! I've got another simple but adorable card today that features the "Dragonfly Garden" stamp set. This card uses different sheets of the Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper and shows a different color palette.

I started by adhering three 1" by 4-1/4" strips of the Dandy Garden DSP directly to a Mossy Meadow Card Stock card base. The Bumblebee and Mossy Meadow palette is so pretty!

Next, I stamped a dragonfly from the "Dragonfly Garden" stamp set in Bumblebee Ink onto the top corner of a 2-1/2" by 3-1/2" Basic White panel. I stamped a sentiment from this same set in Mossy Meadow Ink onto the bottom of the panel. I adhered this to a 2-3/4" by 3-3/4" Bumblebee Card Stock mat and then adhered that to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped another dragonfly in Bumblebee Ink onto Basic White Card Stock and punched it out with the coordinating Dragonflies Punch. Remember, when you purchase the "Dragonfly Garden" stamp set and Dragonflies Punch together in a bundle you'll save 10% off purchasing them as separate items! I adhered this dragonfly to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

To finish the card I used a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the cutest little Ladybug Trinket to the card. These trinkets are adorable! Don't forget to put them on your order!

See you tomorrow for a Misty kind of dragonfly card!

Stay healthy! Stay safe!
