Creation Station: It's a Sale-a-Bration!

It's the most wonderful time of the Stampin' Up year! That's right, ladies and gents--it's a Sale-a-Bration Celebration! Twice year Stampin' Up offers you FREE merchandise when you purchase $50 (US) in products. The stamp sets and designer series papers in this Sale-a-Bration catalog are all super-duper. (Click on the link over there on the right and see the catalog for yourself!) Our fabulous design team is showcasing products from the SAB catalog this month. Don't forget to hop around (the world) and visit all the blogs to be inspired by what this team has in store for you.

I decided to use the gorgeous Calming Camellia set that you can earn when you host a $300 party (or place your own $300 (US) order). Wowza! The images in the set are stunning!

For my first card, I went with a monochromatic design. The large camellia image is perfect on its own. I stamped the image in Basic Gray Ink just off the right side of a 3-3/4" by 5" Gray Granite card stock panel. I added a few swirls and one of the sentiments from the set.

I adhered this to a 4" by 5-1/4" Basic Gray Card Stock mat. Then I added two lengths of Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon, tying a sweet bow at the bottom. I adhered this to a Gray Granite Card Stock card base and then added some Iridescent Rhinestones to finish the card.

I thought it would be fun to "colorize" this card--just like they've done with old black and white movies. So after I stamped the image, I squeezed some Petal Pink Ink into the lid of the stamp pad and colored the flowers with a Blender Pen. I did the same thing to color the leaves with Soft Sea Foam Ink. And, because I couldn't help myself, I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers.

This card uses Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon and is on a Petal Pink Card Stock card base. I embellished the card with Elegant Faceted Gems. You might also notice that I masked the sentiment to exclude the word "today" so I can use it as a sympathy card.

I hope you enjoyed my creations and I know you'll really love what Elizabeth Price has in store for you. Just click on the link or on the "next" button to get there.

Before you leave, I have to show you why my craft room is such a cat-astrophe and why I can only work in a 6" by 6" square on my desk!
