Creation Station: In Colors & More!

Hello and welcome to the July 2023 Creation Station blog hop! This month our Design Team is featuring Stampin' Up's In Colors and core colors in our projects? Stampin' Up uses In Colors in addition to the 40 core colors to keep the entire color palette fresh. The In Colors are "in" for two years at a time and then they usually disappear--unless they're brought back as returning colors! We had a color refresh this year so there were 5 new 2023-2025 In Colors (in addition to the 2022-2024 In Colors), 7 returning colors, and 4 new core colors.

Whew! That's a lot of colors--but I LOVE color, don't you?! Our goal this month is to use one In Color, one core color, and Basic White in our project. Let's take a look at what I've come up with.

I've been working with the "Cheerful Daisies" bundle lately, so I continued my streak with this card. I also wanted to make sure I used cheerful colors, so I combined Pebbled Path with Pool Party. I was so pleased with how these colors went together--and the pops of Basic White really make the card cheerful, don't you think?
When I stamp a sentiment on colored card stock, I like to emboss the ink so that it stands out better. I feel like the ink sinks into the colored card stock. So, I stamp the sentiment, quickly sprinkle on Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder, and set it with my Heat Tool. Here's a closer look. I think that gives the card just a little something special.

Did you catch the other theme I used for this card? You should have noticed an abundance of circles--on the Basic White mat that I embossed with the Hobnail-Glass Dots folder from the Online Exclusives Basics 3D Embossing Folders, to the circles on the 2023-2025 Pebbled Path Designer Series Paper, and even to the Pebbled Path In Color Dots! I thought that was a clever touch, if I do say so myself (and I do)!

I hope you were inspired by my full of color card. It was fun to pull together--and if you want to create your own version, you can click on the thumbnails below and go right to my online store where you can make your purchase.

Next up is Yvonne Spikmans-Van Bruggen all the way from the Netherlands! She is an amazing artist and I know you'll love her designs!

We're also hosting an Instagram hop so if you'd like to follow me--and the other members of the Creation Station Design Team--hop on over to my Instagram account @kkstamper

Until next time...
