OnStage Swap (Part Four)

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   #onstage2017   Today's card was designed by Trudy Freas who lives in Virginia.  It's a soft and sweet anniversary card.  I really like the color combination that Trudy chose.  It's a new-to-me combo that I'll have to try myself soon! If you like this color combination and the products used on Trudy's card, take a look at the "Falling In Love" suite on pages 50 and 51 of the Occasions catalog or click on the product links at the end of this blog post.

Trudy embossed a 4" by 5-1/4" piece of Blushing Bride Card Stock with the Falling Petals Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  She adhered this to a Sahara Sand Card base.

Next, Trudy stamped a sentiment from the "Falling for You" stamp set in Sahara Sand Ink onto a 1" strip of Very Vanilla Card Stock that she flagged with the Banner Triple Punch.  She added some flowers from the same set in Blushing Bride.  Trudy cut a 1-1/2" piece of Falling in Love Designer Series Paper and flagged it with the Banner Triple Punch, too.

To bring the design together, Trudy adhered a Lace Doily to the card, then the DSP strip, and then the stamped strip.  As an elegant finishing touch, Trudy added a pretty Falling in Love Embellishment. Swoon! This card is so pretty!!

OnStage Swap (Part Three)

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   #onstage2017  Today's card is a sparkling masterpiece created by Michele Fleming. I'm sure you'll agree with me that it's simply stunning!
Michele started with a 2-3/4" by 4" piece of Basic Black Card Stock, cutting out two of the flowers using the Stylish Stems Framelits.  She stamped a sentiment from the "Beautiful You" stamp set in Versamark Ink, sprinkled on some White Stampin' Emboss Powder, and set it with her Heat Tool. She adhered this onto a 3" by 4-1/4" piece of Silver Glimmer Paper.

Next, Michele adhered this assembly onto a 3-1/4" by 4-1/2" piece of Basic Black Card Stock, which she had wrapped a length of 1/8" Silver Ribbon around.  She then embossed the front of a Basic Black Card Stock card base with the Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. She adhered the focal piece to this using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Finally, Michele added three Basic Rhinestones to the card for just a bit more bling. Don't you agree that this card is simply stunning?!

OnStage Swap (Part Two)

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   #onstage2017   I really like to participate in organized swaps.  It takes the "hecticity" out of the swapping process.  You don't have to run around like a maniac trying to find more people to swap with.  And it takes the guesswork out of swap creation--how many should I make?  One year I made 150 swaps. Not kidding!  This time I made 13--10 for the organized swap, 1 for each of my downline members who attended with me, and one to keep as a sample for myself. Done and done.

And I got back 10 wonderful swap cards in return--designs that I definitely wouldn't have come up with on my own! Each one its own work of art.  Like this card I received from Jackie Walker in Florida.

Jackie used the gorgeous Rose Garden Thinlits to cut the negative rose image from a 3-3/4" by 5" Whisper White panel.  She used the Fine-Tip Glue pen to adhere the detailed rose to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Flirty Flamingo mat.  She wrapped a length of Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon around the Whisper White panel before adhering it to the Flirty Flamingo mat with Stampin' Dimensionals. Jackie then adhered this assembly to a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base, cut lengthwise.

Next, Jackie stamped a sentiment from the "Wetlands" set in Basic Black Archival Ink onto a Whisper White scrap.  She cut this out with the label framelit from the Rose Garden Thinlits.  She sponged a bit of Flirty Flamingo Ink around the edges before adhering it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

So pretty, right! I'm going to have to try this--all you'd have to do is change out the sentiments to make a stack of all occasion cards. The "Rose Garden" stamp set matches the framelits that Jackie used and it contains some great sentiments.

OnStage Swap (Part One)

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   #onstage2017   I had the pleasure of attending Stampin' Up's OnStage event in Richmond, Virginia, over the weekend.  (I did NOT have the pleasure of sitting in traffic on I-95 South for 5 hours....)  I love, love, LOVE attending Stampin' Up events.  It's probably my second favorite perk for being a demonstrator.  (The discount is my favorite perk!)  I love seeing new Stampin' Up product, I love the demonstrations and business builder presentations, and I LOVE meeting and getting to know new stampy friends!

At this OnStage event, we were treated to being some of the first demonstrators in the world to see the 2017-2018 annual catalog and the new 2017-2019 In Colors. You are going to love them!! That's all I can say. Oh wait! I can show you the cover of the new catalog!

Isn't it pretty! I'm so excited about the new catalog and I can't wait to start sharing some projects using the new sets. But I'm going to hold off on that excitement for a while. The new catalog goes live on June 1st--and that's 6 weeks off.  There's plenty to love in the current catalog and the Occasions catalog, so I'm going to be concentrating on those items for the next few weeks.

In the meantime, this week I'm going to show you some of my favorite swaps I received from stampers who attended OnStage in Richmond.

The first card was made by my BFF, Lynn Birus.  She's so stinkin' talented!  When you see her card, you will definitely agree with me.  Here it is!

Lynn used the "Dragonfly Dreams" stamp set and coordinating Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits--which you can get in a bundle and save 10% over ordering these items separately (item 144728).  She cut a detailed dragonfly from a Copper Foil Sheet.  Then she cut the solid dragonfly out of a 4" by 5-1/4" Very Vanilla panel.  She colored the dragonfly wings stamp with Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, and Sweet Sugarplum Stampin' Write Markers and used the cut-out piece to know where to place her stamped dragonfly on a Very Vanilla card base.

She stamped the dot design from the "Dragonfly Dreams" set onto the Very Vanilla panel in Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, and Sweet Sugarplum.  She adhered this piece to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. Then she adhered the copper dragonfly using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

Next, Lynn stamped the sentiment in Sweet Sugarplum onto a 1/2" strip of Peekaboo Peach Card Stock and flagged the end with her Paper Snips. She adhered this directly to the card.

For a finishing touch, Lynn added several In-Color Enamel Shapes to the card.  Isn't it just perfect?! I think so.

Come back tomorrow for another fabulous swap card!!
