Creation Station: Unique Folds

#stampinup   #creationstation   #faithfulinkspirations   Our Creation Station Theme for June is "fun with folds." (Thank you, Sheldon Cooper.) Actually, the theme is unique folds and our round-the-world design team is sure to amaze you with some fabulous folding features! I can't wait to hop around the blogs to be inspired--I'm glad you're visiting my blog for some inspiration. So here we go!

I made this fun, 4" by 4" fold-out, snap-up card. Take a look at how it works--and listen for the snap!

This card was pretty easy to make--really! Take a look at the tutorial tab at the top of my blog.

I used the sweet new "Daisy Lane" stamp set that you'll be able to purchase when the new catalog goes live in just two days! I decorated the inside of the card with just about every stamp in the set! I used Garden Green, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Blushing Bride, and Terracotta Tile (new!) Inks on Whisper White Card Stock. I used my Silicone Craft Sheet to make a mirror image of the daisy stems. (See page 139 of the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog to see how easy this is!)

I added a strip of Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper on each of the squares and adhered each square to a Mint Macaron Card Stock mat.

I used two small magnets on the corner of the card so that when it's opened, it snaps! I also made a tab with the Classic Label Punch to separate the magnets and to give a visual cue that this is the side that folds down when the card is closed.

On the outside, I used the same Whisper White on Mint Macaron as the inside, but I embossed the Whisper White panel with the Subtle Embossing Folder so it wasn't so plain.

I cut a 9" strip of the Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP to use as the belly band. I stamped the daisy from the "Daisy Lane" stamp set three times in Blushing Bride Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock and punched them out with the Daisy Punch.

I used the Bone Folder to curl the petals and adhered the layers with Glue Dots. I adhered the flower to the belly band with Stampin' Dimensionals. I plopped a Clear Faceted Gem into the center of the flower.

For a finishing touch, I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Now hop on over to the delightful Mikaela Titheridge's blog and see what she has in store for you!
