Merry & Plaid

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I fell in love with the "Rooted in Nature" stamp set and matching Nature's Roots Framelits as soon as I saw them! I've always loved the perennial favorite, "Lovely As A Tree," and this new set complements that set so well. I had been thinking that using "Rooted in Nature" would be fun for a Christmas card so I combined it with the pretty Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper for a quick and easy card.

I stamped the double tree stamp from the "Rooted in Nature" set in Old Olive and Shaded Spruce Inks at the bottom of a 2-1/4" by 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White Card Stock. I stamped a sentiment from the "Hearts Come Home" set in Night of Navy Ink at the top. I adhered this piece to a 2-1/2" by 3-3/4" Night of Navy Card Stock mat.

Next, I layered a 3-3/4" by 5" piece of the Under the Mistletoe DSP onto a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" piece of Real Red Card Stock. I wrapped a length of Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon around and then adhered everything to a Night of Navy Card Stock card base.

I stamped the single tree from the "Rooted in Nature" set in Old Olive onto Whisper White Card Stock and cut it out with the matching Nature's Roots Framelit. I adhered this piece to the stamped panel with Stampin' Dimensionals. I finished the card by using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere three sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment.

I think this card turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself--and that's easy to do when Stampin' Up's products coordinate so seamlessly!

Serene Scene

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   A friend of mine is working overseas for six months serving our country. She's going to be away from friends and family at Christmas. Our office is putting together a care package for her and I wanted to make her a special Christmas card to go along with it. I got my inspiration from this card that Mikaela Titheridge posted a few days ago. Isn't it awesome?!

For my card, I cut a scene from Whisper White Card Stock using the Hometown Greeting Edgelits. I knew Bobbi would appreciate the church and the house. I cut a scalloped oval mat from Powder Pink Card Stock using one of the Layering Ovals Framelits. I cut a Whisper White oval with the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I adhered the church strip to the oval frame with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. Next, I cut half an oval from a piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper with the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and used my Paper Snips to give the feeling of drifting snow.

I embossed a 3-3/4" by 5" Whisper White Card Stock panel with the Sparkle Embossing Folder and adhered it to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Powder Pink Card Stock mat. I wrapped a length of Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon around this and then adhered it onto a Crumb Cake Card Stock card base. I adhered the die-cut oval assembly to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the "Hearts Come Home" stamp set in Crumb Cake Ink onto a Whisper White scrap and punched it out with the Pretty Label Punch. I adhered this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Isn't this such a serene scene? I hope my friend feels the warmth and love from us as she spends some time away.

Creation Station: Perfect Packaging

#stampinup   #creationstation   #faithfulinkspirations   Can it be November already? It seems like the year is flying by! I can't complain though, because I'm looking forward to seeing my college kids when they come home for Thanksgiving. And then shortly after that it will be Christmas. Wow!

On this trip around the Creation Station blog hop, our design team is going to show you some great packaging ideas for your holiday gifts. Stampin' Up has some great products that make packaging quick and easy. Add a little bit of designer series paper, some ribbon, and a tag and you're good to go!

First, I have two little boxes of chocolate that would make great teachers' gifts. I started with a Clear Tiny Treat Box and added an 8" by 2" strip of designer series paper, scored every 2 inches. I dropped this inside the box and added some candy. Simple!

Next, I grabbed some coordinating ribbon--I used about 30" for each box because I wanted a BIG bow on the tiny box. Then I stamped a sentiment from the "Hearts Come Home" stamp set on a coordinating piece of card stock, punched it out with the Pretty Label Punch, adhered a Foil Doily, and tied it to the box with Whisper White Baker's Twine. For a finishing touch, I added some Faceted Gems.

This box uses the Be Merry DSP and Quilted Christmas Ribbon. I stamped the sentiment in Garden Green Ink and added two Gold Faceted Gems and a Gold Foil Doily.

And this box uses the Merry Little Christmas DSP and Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon. I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink and added two Clear Faceted Gems and a Silver Foil Doily.

Next, I made a quick neighbor gift using a super big 6" by 17" Gussetted Cello Bag and a bottle of wine. These bags are perfect for a gift of wine. I tied on a about a yard of Gold Metallic-Edge Ribbon and made a super pretty tag with a Foil Snowflake.

For the tag, I stamped "Merry and Bright" from the "Festive Phrases" stamp set in Versamark Ink onto a Whisper White scrap.  I embossed this with Gold Embossing Powder. I cut it out with one of the Layering Circles Framelits. I adhered it to a scalloped Basic Black circle, also cut with one of the Layering Circles Framelits.  Then I adhered it to a beautiful Foil Snowflake.  I tied the tag to the ribbon with a length of Gold Metallic Thread. So pretty--and so easy!!
