Blissful Birthday

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   It wouldn't be right to feature the gorgeous Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper that coordinates so wonderfully with the "Penned & Painted" stamp set.  Unfortunately, this DSP is already SOLD OUT.  See? I've been telling you that you have to act quickly if you want any retiring tools or accessories because they do sell out! You could certainly recreate this card with another of Stampin' Up's wonderful DSP collections. It's another easy-peasy design!
I started by cutting a 3-3/4" by 5" piece of the Blooms & Bliss DSP and adhering it to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Mint Macaron Card Stock mat.  I wrapped a length of Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon (also SOLD OUT) around this before adhering it to a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base, cut lengthwise and turned sideways.

Next, I stamped a flower from the "Penned & Painted" set onto a 4-1/4" by 1-3/4" piece of Whisper White Card Stock.  The outline of the flower is stamped with Island Indigo Ink and both inside parts are stamped with Mint Macaron Ink.  The sentiment is from the "Oh So Succulent" stamp set and it's also stamped in Island Indigo.  I  backed this piece with a 4-3/8" by 1-3/4" piece of Island Indigo Card Stock.  I adhered this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

For a finishing touch, I added a bit of a Lace Doily (also SOLD OUT).  You could use a Delicate Doily here--they're carrying over to the new catalog!!

As you can see, you have to act fast if you want any of these supplies. The stamp sets should be available until the end of May, but the tools and accessories are only available while supplies last and then they're gone forever.  The retiring items are in red in this post.

Sugarplum Flowers

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I seriously love how the images from the soon-to-retire "Penned & Painted" stamp set create a watercolor effect--without actually haing to watercolor.  The photopolymer stamps make it easy to position each of the three steps of the flowers.
For today's card I used Sweet Sugarplum and Peekaboo Peach Inks for the flowers and Wild Wasabi Ink for the leaves.  I cascaded the flowers down the side and across the bottom of a 3-3/4" by 5" Whisper White panel. I just love the tumble down look of flowers positioned in this way!  I added a sentiment from the "Oh So Succulent" set in Sweet Sugarplum.

Next, I adhered the stamped panel to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Sweet Sugarplum Card stock mat.  I wrapped a length of Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon around this before adhering everything to a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base, cut diagonally.

This card was super quick and easy to make and it's so pretty, too! Remember, to order your retiring merchandise before it retires at the end of May (stamp sets) or sells out (accessories and tools).  The retiring items are marked in red on this blog post.

Painted Blooms in Mint

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I'm saving my favorite retiring stamp set for last and I'm featuring it in several posts this week.  I really love the "Penned & Painted" set.  The flowers are beautiful and so easy to create with the three-step stamping technique. The fact that the stamps are see-through photopolymer makes it a cinch to line up the parts. I also really like the fact that you can create a pretty card in no time with this set!

For today's card I started by stamping the outline of one flower in Island Indigo Ink onto a 3-3/4" by 5" Whisper White panel. I used Mint Macaron Ink to fill in the flower--for both steps.  I just stamped this flower randomly onto the panel. I filled in some of the empty spaces with the larger flower in Sweet Sugarplum Ink--two steps. I didn't use the outline stamp here for just a little variety.

I stamped the sentiment from the "Oh So Succulent" stamp set in Island Indigo.  I adhered the stamped panel onto a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Island Indigo mat.  I wrapped a length of Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon around before adhering this to a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base, cut diagonally.

Remember, the retiring stamp sets should be available until the end of May 2017, but the tools and accessories are only available while supplies last--in fact the Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon is SOLD OUT already. #sadpanda The retiring items are in red. You can get yours by clicking on the thumbnails below.

Come back tomorrow for another card using both the "Penned & Painted" and "Oh So Succulent" stamp set.  I'm having fun playing with them one last time!

Petite Petals in Watermelon and Wasabi

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   One of my all-time favorite color combinations is pink and green and I think the combination of Watermelon Wonder and Pear Pizzazz on today's card really pops!  And I used the "Petite Petals" stamp set and Petite Petals Punch again because I'm going to miss these old favorites!
I started by stamping the lined stamp from the also retiring "Gorgeous Grunge" stamp set in Pear Pizzazz on a 3-3/4" by 5" Whisper White panel. One of each line is stamped full strength and the other is stamped half-strength...in other words, I stamped the image again without reinking it. I added a couple of dashes of of the "Gorgeous Grunge" splatter stamp in Watermelon Wonder.

Next, I added a couple of pieces of Tasty Treats Washi Tape (sold out) and then stamped a sentiment from the "Oh So Succulent" set in Pear Pizzazz.  I adhered this to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Pear Pizzazz mat and then onto a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base, cut lengthwise.

Next, I stamped three of the flowers from the "Petite Petals" set in Watermelon Wonder onto a Whisper White scrap and punched them out with the Petite Petals Punch.  I curled the petals slightly with my bone folder and adhered them to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. For a finishing touch, I added a Basic Rhinestone Jewel Embellishment (sold out) in the center of each flower. (There will be rhinestones in the new catalog--just in a different configuration.)

Remember to get these items before they retire--or before they sell out. Just click on the thumbnails below and you'll be taken to my online store where you can place your order!

Sweet Mother's Day Card

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I really, really, really liked a card that the Stampin' Up homepage featured recently and that uses one of my favorite sets from the Occasions catalog, "Oh So Succulent."  I knew I could modify the card just a little bit and make a mother's day card for my wonderful mother-in-law.  The original card was made by Charlet Mallet.

For my card, I started by stamping the larger flower outlines in Rich Razzleberry Ink onto Whisper White scraps and filling them in with Blushing Bride Ink. The two-step stamps make this so easy! I also stamped a smaller flower with this color combo. I stamped a solid small flower and a trailing succulent in Blushing Bride as well.  Next, I stamped a couple succulent element outlines in Garden Green Ink and filled them in with Mint Macaron Ink. I used the Succulent Framelits Dies to cut out all the elements.

Next, I used the Polka Dot Embossing Folder to emboss a 3-3/4" by 5" piece of Blushing Bride Card Stock which I then adhered to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" piece of Mint Macaron Card Stock.  I tied a length of Thick Whisper White Baker's Twine around these pieces before adhering them to a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base, cut lengthwise.

I cut a swirly scribble from a piece of Mint Macaron Card Stock using one of the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies. I adhered a Delicate White Doily to the card front with Snail Adhesive and then adhered the scribble on top, using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.  I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the flower elements to the card.

I stamped the sentiment in Whisper White Craft Ink onto a 1/2" strip of Basic Black Card Stock. I sprinkled on some White Stampin' Emboss Powder and embossed the sentiment with my Heat Tool. I flagged the end with my Paper Snips and adhered the strip to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Many of the items I used in this card are retiring at the end of May; I highlighted them in red text.  Accessories are only available while supplies last, so you need to hurry if you want to add these items to your tool kit! But the good news is that some of the items are on sale. I've updated the prices in the links below!
