Faith vs Fear

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I really like saying: "Let your faith be bigger than your fear." It's a perfect saying to affirm that our God is bigger than anything that can harm us. This saying is certainly poignant during this time of COVID. I started off the COVID crises vacillating between utter fear and a "bring it on" kind of bravado. Those swings were wild. Then someone posted the thought: "Faith over fear" and I realized that was just what I needed to hold on to. Just like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego said, when faced with the fiery furnace, "Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up." (Dan. 3:17-18)  Those young men had faith over fear that God could save them, but even if he did not, their faith was greater than their fear. I endeavor to live that out in my life...even if it takes me a minute to get there.

So I was super excited to see the "Ridiculously Awesome" stamp set in Stampin' Up's 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. This set was designed by million-dollar-earner Ronda Wade. And in this set, she included the phrase, "Let your FAITH be stronger than your fear."

I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy Ink onto a 2-3/8" by 3-5/8" Whisper White panel. I adhered this to a scalloped Night of Navy Card Stock rectangle that I cut with one of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I embossed a 3-5/8" by 5" Granny Apple Green Card Stock panel with the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder and then adhered it to a 4" by 5-1/4" Whisper White mat. I adhered a 1" by 3-1/2" strip of Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper to this and then adhered everything to a Night of Navy Card Stock card base. 

Next, I wrapped a length of Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon around the sentiment piece and adhered this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. I punched a flower from a sheet of Rainbow Shimmer Paper with the Small Bloom Punch and used a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere it to the card. For a finishing touch, I added an Artistry Blooms Sequin to the center of the flower.

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   It's almost the weekend! Yay! I have a card that is ridiculously awesome. Wanna see it? OK!

This card uses the "Ridiculously Awesome" stamp set. The images in this set are bold and fun. They can be the stars of their own shows. For this card, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Whisper White Card Stock and cut it out with one of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

Next, I embossed one half of a 4" by 5-1/4" Whisper White Card Stock panel with one of the Meadow Moments Mini Embossing Folders. I adhered a 2-1/2" by 4" piece of Rich Razzleberry Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper to the other half. I wrapped two lengths of Whisper White 1/4" Seam Binding Ribbon around the center, hiding the seam between the two pieces and then adhered the panel to a Rich Razzleberry Card Stock card base.

To finish the card, I adhered the sentiment piece with Stampin' Dimensionals and then added three Artistry Blooms Sequins to the card. I love this set of sequins--they coordinate with so many other products, not just the Artistry Blooms Suite, and they add a fun, colorful element to any card.

I love that the set was designed by Stampin' Up CEO Sara Douglass' husband Sean. Stampin' Up really is a family affair--another thing I love about "working" for this company. What's that they say? If you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life! I love Stampin' Up! It's the best side-hustle!

Today's card is so fun! I started with a Night of Navy Card Stock card base. I added a 4" by 5-1/4" Whisper White Card Stock mat and then adhered a 3-3/4" by 5" Bermuda Bay Card Stock panel on top.

Next, I stamped two stars in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink at the corners of the Bermuda panel and then I adhered three 1" by 3" strips of Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper to the card. I stamped the "You Got This" sentiment from the "Ridiculously Awesome" set in Tuxedo Black onto Whisper White Card Stock and cut it out with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies. PROTIP: You can stamp the sentiment into the center of the Whisper White mat and cut it out before you assemble the card!

I adhered the label to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Then I tied a knot in a length of Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon and adhered this to the card with a Mini Glue Dot. To finish the card with a little bling, I added three Artistry Blooms Sequins. So fun!

Hello Sunshine

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   Yesterday's card had a big, bold sentiment and today's does, too! I'm really loving these big sentiments--they're so much fun and they make a "statement," don't you think? Today's card uses the "Ridiculously Awesome" stamp set designed by Stampin' Up Million Dollar Achiever, Ronda Wade. Did you know that if you reach the million dollar personal sales mark as a Stampin' Up demonstrator that you get to design your own stamp set? How ridiculously awesome is that?!

I stamped a sentiment from the "Ridiculously Awesome" stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Whisper White Card Stock and cut it out with one of the Tasteful Touches Dies. Next, I embossed a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Melon Mambo Card Stock Panel with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. I adhered this to a 4" by 5-1/4" Rich Razzleberry Card Stock panel and then onto a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base.

I added a 2" by 3-7/8" strip of Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper to the front of the card. These colors remind me of sherbet! Yum! I adhered the label to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals and then added three Rich Razzleberry Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

I thought the card needed a little more shine, so I colored the heart dotting the "i" in "sunshine" with my Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Marker and then dabbed on a little bit of Shimmery Crystal Effects. I wasn't quite finished, though. Next, I took my Wink of Stella and flicked the brush against the cap so that golden stella "rained" down on my sunshine. It's so pretty IRL!
