Loads of Thanks

#stampinup   This last in a series of cards made from the "You're Sublime" stamp set is really sweet. I think it makes the perfect thank you card.

We started with a Watermelon Wonder card base and embossed it with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. Next, we stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a 3-1/2" square of Whisper White card stock. Using Blender Pens, we colored the image with Smoky Slate, Watermelon Wonder, Crushed Curry, and Cucumber Crush ink.

Next, we used the 2-1/2" Circle Punch to punch a circle in a 3" square of Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper and adhered this over the stamped image. We added a Basic Rhinestone on each corner and then adhered the assembly to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I usually don't like stamp sets like this because I have an aversion to coloring--I don't think I'm very good at it, which is why I love to stamp! But I think this set and Blender Pens make coloring easy--and it turned out some really cute cards!

Toadally Awesome

#stampinup  Today's card is the second in the series of cards made from the "You're Sublime" stamp set. The design for all three cards is the same, but each uses a different embossing folder for the card base and a different piece of Cherry on the Top Designer Series Paper Pack. I think these cards would be great for a stamp-a-stack. Contact me if you'd like to invite a few friends over to make these cards and we'll get together for a great stampin' time!

I love this little frog and his cheeky sentiment: "toadally awesome." It's so punny!!

We started with a Cucumber Crush card base and embossed it with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder. Next, we stamped the frog in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a 3-1/4" square of Whisper White card stock. We used Blender Pens to color the frog with Cucumber Crush and and Crushed Curry ink.

Next, we punched a 3" square of Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper with the 2-1/2" Circle Punch and adhered this to the Whisper White Square. We added googly eyes to the frog and punched one flower with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack out of Watermelon Wonder and one out of Cucumber Crush card stock and adhered these to the card with a glue dot. We added a Basic Rhinestone for that bling factor.

I adhered this to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. Super cute!!

Follow Your Heart

#stampinup   I'm just back from the Stampin' Up convention--and I'm still recuperating from my fast-paced, fun-filled days! Today was my first full day back at work and I'm already exhausted. Fortunately, I have our family's vacation to look forward to. I'm hoping just to sit back and relax on the beach for a week!

The night before the Stampin' Up convention actually starts, my upline, Connie Heisey, has a gathering of the Proverbial Stampers group. We meet up with each other--sometimes it's the only time I see my teammates--and Connie has a few make and takes for us. I'm going to share 3 of the cards from the Proverbial Stampers make and take session over the next few days. All of the cards use the adorable set, "You're Sublime."

First up is this cute trailer with the sentiment "follow your heart." The card base is Smoky Slate and embossed with the Lucky Stars embossing folder. We stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a 3-1/4" square of Whisper White. We used Blender Pens to color in the accents: Bermuda Bay, Watermelon Wonder, and Smoky Slate. We punched a 3" square of Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper with the 2-1/2" Circle Punch and adhered this to the Whisper White Square.

I adhered this piece to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. We added a Watermelon Wonder heart punched with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack heart punch. I also used half a dimensional to adhere the heart. Finally, we added a Basic Rhinestone for a little bling.
