I only have a few current packages of designer series paper and I wasn't sure that any of them were masculine enough. I love the English Garden DSP because of the soft, water-colored flowers. But who would have guessed? On the reverse side of several papers, there are some suitable for a masculine card! So these papers set my color scheme: Night of Navy, Mossy Meadow, and Soft Suede.
I used a Mossy Meadow card base and added a Soft Suede mat. I laid my two strips of English Garden DSP, off-set, like the sketch. Then I cut a 2-1/8" square of Whisper White and stamped the sentiment from the "Perfect Pennants" set. I backed this piece with a 2-1/4" square of Night of Navy. I added this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I stamped the "happy birthday" sentiment from the "And Many More" set, masking the "birthday" on one so that I could have one word on each little flag. I punched these with the Banner Punch. I also punched a Night of Navy banner. I tucked each flag behind the main design and adhered each to the card with a little Snail Adhesive.
