Bithday Surprise

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   #fabfriday   The current Fab Friday challenge is a sketch challenge.  I love to play along with sketch challenges because they stretch my design skills. I sometimes feel like my designs are getting a bit stale, so a challenge is just what is needed!

I started with a Pacific Point Card Stock card base and added a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" piece of  Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper. I cut a 3" by 4" piece of Whisper White Card Stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Sparkle Embossing Folder. I adhered this to a 3-1/8" by 4-1/8" piece of Real Red Card Stock.

I used a 1" strip of Birthday Memories DSP that I'd flagged at both ends with the Banner Triple Punch and a length of Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon behind the White panel. Next, I cut out a birthday cake from another piece of Birthday Memories DSP using the matching Birthday Friends Framelit. I love that the Birthday Friends Framelits fit the Birthday Memories DSP!! I adhered this to the panel with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Finally, I stamped "Surprise!" in Real Red Ink onto a 1" strip of Whisper White Card Stock that I flagged with the Banner Triple Punch. I curled the ends of this piece with my bone folder for a little dimension.
I think this card is super cute! You could easily make a stack of these in no time using products in the Birthday Delivery bundle: "Birthday Delivery" stamp set, Birthday Friends Framelits, and Birthday Memories DSP. You'll save 10% when you purchase these items as a bundle, over purchasing them separately. What a dealio!!

  3. Fun birthday card! I still think it's so neat that the framelits cut out some of the images from the DSP...so easy to make great cards! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
