Dear Sweet Deer

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   Today's card is just the sweetest! We made this at the Proverbial Stamper group meeting in February. This card could be for a baby shower or just a pick me up for someone who needs a lift. Honestly, I overlooked the "A Good Day" stamp set in the Occasions catalog, but our Proverbial Stamper leader, Connie Heisey, didn't! She and her team designed some sweet cards for our group to make.

We started by stamping the deer from the "A Good Day" stamp set in Basic Black Archival Ink onto a Whisper White scrap and then we punched it out with the 1-1/4" Circle Punch. We colored the deer with the Light Crumb Cake and Light Pink Pirouette Stampin' Blends before adhering it to a scalloped Crumb Cake mat that we punched with the 1-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch.

We used the Woodland Embossing Folder to emboss a 4" by 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White Card Stock and a 3" by 3" piece of Pink Pirouette Card Stock. We adhered the Pink Pirouette piece to a 3-1/4" by 3-1/4" Crumb Cake Card Stock square. I flipped the embossed Whisper White piece so that the debossed side faces the front and adhered it to a Whisper White Card Stock card base. Then I adhered the Pink Pirouette/Crumb Cake piece to the center(ish) of the card. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the deer image to the card.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake Ink onto a Whisper White scrap and punched it out with the Classic Label Punch. I adhered this to the card with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I tied a length of Silver Baker's Twine into a bow and adhered it to the card with a Glue Dot.
