Fab Work of Art

It's another Fab Friday color challenge! This time the challenge is to use the new 2014-2016 Stampin' Up In-Colors:

Now this is really a challenge for me, because once you get past three colors in the color scheme (not counting neutrals), I kind of freak out and the card becomes a hot mess. I almost skipped this challenge all together, but I pressed on. I came up with a simple design that I think works (kinda).

(Stamp Sets: Work of Art, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Inks: Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Tangelo Tango, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon; Card Stock: Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Whisper White; Accessories: Hello Honey Stitched Satin Ribbon, Banners Framelits Collection)
I used my grid paper to line up the wavy lines and the stamp-a-ma-jig to add the hearts at the bottom. I had the panel almost stamped and added the Lost Lagoon waves and then, oh poopadoop! I had them upside down and backwards! As I always say in demonstrations and classes: there are two sides to the paper. On the second go-round, I put a dot at the top of stamp so I'd know which end was up. It would have been so bad if I hadn't had to clean the stamp over and over and over.

  1. Oh cute! I like that you used the zig zags where most people have been focusing on the swish of that set! Very unique! Thanks for playing at Fab Friday!

  3. The chevron is my favorite pattern from that stamp set! You did a great job lining it up (I'd never be able to do it)! Thanks do much for joining us at Fab Friday!
