Merry and Really Bright

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   Man! That "Festive Phrases" stamp set is so versatile!  I already showed you the cute Halloween card. Today I'm going to show you the first of two Christmas cards from that set. We made this one at our Proverbial Stampers get together and it is certainly merry and really bright!

We started by stamping the sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink on a 2-3/4" square of Whisper White Card Stock. We colored in the Christmas lights with Real Red, Daffodil Delight, and Pacific Point Stampin' Write Markers and then adhered the stamped image to a 3" square of Basic Black Card Stock.

We built the card, starting with a Pacific Point Card Stock card based on to which we added a 2" by 5-1/4" Real Red Card Stock strip that had been embossed with the Oh My Stars Embossing Folder. Next we added a 2-3/4" square of Daffodil Delight Card Stock. We used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the stamped image and finished the card with some pretty Basic Rhinestones.

This card is quick and easy and very festive!! I love the non-traditional Christmas colors! Next week I'll be sharing the second Christmas card we made with this set. It's adorable!
