Snowy Tree

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   My eye was immediately drawn to the "Life Is Beautiful" stamp set on page 51 of the August-to-December Mini Catalog. The set was designed by million dollar sales achiever LeeAnn Greff and it's a set you can use year 'round. But since I've been designing Christmas cards for my annual stamp-a-stack sessions, I thought this would be a great, non-religious card--it would even be suitable to send for Hanukkah.

I used my Stamparatus to stamp the tree in Smoky Slate Ink onto a 3-3/4" by 5" Whisper White Card Stock panel. Using the Stamparatus made it easy to stamp a stack of cards--and if the ink doesn't fully "take" you can over-stamp, if necessary. I stamped the snowflakes in the branches in Misty Moonlight and Balmy Blue Inks. And I stamped the ice under the tree in Balmy Blue as well.

I used one of the Painted Labels Dies to cut the swirly element from the center of a 4" by 5-1/4" Misty Moonlight Card Stock mat. I adhered the stamped panel to the Misty Moonlight mat and then onto a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base, cut lengthwise.

I stamped a sentiment from the "Itty Bitty Christmas" set in Misty Moonlight Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock and cut it out with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies. I adhered the swirly element to the back of the label and then adhered the label to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

For a finishing touch I added some Snowflake Adhesive-Backed Elements in the tree branches and falling from the tree.

Tomorrow I'll share another card that I made with this set. How fun!

Merry Christ-Moose

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations  I was super excited to see that the "Merry Moose" stamp set and Moose Punch carried over from last year to this year's August-to-December Mini Catalog! And the bundle carried over, too. I love that moose! I don't know why, but I just really love him. So, of course, I had to use him for one of the cards I designed for my Christmas card stamp-a-stack sessions. It turned out so cute, don't you think?!

I love the earthy colors--not your traditional Christmas colors--but they work. I started with a Crumb Cake Card Stock card base. Then I stamped the trees from the "Merry Moose" set in Pretty Peacock Ink onto a 3-3/4" by 5" Pretty Peacock Card Stock panel. I adhered this to a 4" by 5-1/4" Early Espresso mat.* I wrapped a couple of lengths of Braided Linen Trim around these pieces before adhering them to the card base.

Next, I inked up the Buffalo Check Background stamp in Real Red Ink and stamped it onto a quarter sheet of Whisper White Card Stock. I was able to cut this into four pieces for four cards! I adhered this piece to the card, over top the linen trim, with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped the moose in Early Espresso Ink onto Crumb Cake Card Stock and punched him out with the Moose Punch. I adhered him to the card with regular and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

*Before I adhered the Early Espresso mat to the card, I cut a stitched circle from the center with one of the Stitched Shapes Dies. I stamped a sentiment from the "Merry Moose" set in Early Espresso Ink onto Crumb Cake Card Stock and cut it out with one of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. I adhered the label directly to the circle and then used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere everything to the card.

For a finishing touch, I added three Clear Epoxy Drops to the card. How cute is this??

Remember: You can get the "Merry Moose" Stamp Set and Moose Punch together as a bundle (item 153015) and save 10% off purchasing them separately.

Your (Post-COVID) Adventure Awaits!

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I love my work team! Before this COVID stuff hit us (and by "stuff" I'm actually thinking of another word) we used to travel the world. Right now we're in a holding pattern--planning for trips next year and hoping it will be safe enough to travel. As with all things COVID, it's wait and see--and make the best of it.

As I said--I love my work team! We get along famously--we'd have to since we (used to) spend so much time together on the road. And we do good work. Very good work. I'm so proud of them! My boss decided that she would give us all a team award. Now, these used to be lunch out with the boss, but these days, not so much. We came up with an idea for a fly-away kit that would come in handy when we can travel again. Our kit has a large thermal hot-cold cup, a gadget-and-wire keeper travel pouch, a first-aid tin, hand sanitizer, and disposable masks. Each employee was presented with a bag of goodies and I made the tags!

What better suite to use than the World of Good Suite on pages 24-26 of the Annual Catalog?! I used the tag on page 25 as my inspiration. I love, love, love the way these tags turned out! My team loved them, too, because they knew I'd made them.

The tag bases are made from Crumb Cake Card Stock and I punched the top with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. I stamped the compass rose onto each tag in Early Espresso Ink. I used the World Map Dies to cut the Mossy Meadow circle from a piece of World Of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper. I also used these dies to cut the overlaid globe from Gold Foil and the Misty Moonlight Card Stock element.

I stamped the stand for the globe in Early Espresso Ink and cut it out with its matching World Map Die. I stamped the "Adventure Awaits!" sentiment in Mossy Meadow Ink onto Very Vanilla Card Stock and fussy cut it with my Paper Snips. And I cut a strip of the Bumblebee World Of Good DSP.

I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue, regular and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to assemble all the elements onto the tag. Then I tied on a length of Braided Linen Trim and I was done.

Stay healthy! Stay safe! And remember, soon, your adventure awaits!

Something Old Is New Again

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   #christmas   #christmascards   It makes me so happy when a holiday set carries over into the new catalog. That means I can love on it for another year! One of my favorite sets from last year's holiday mini carried over to the Annual Catalog and that is "Perfectly Plaid." I knew I wanted to use it again this year for one of my Christmas card making sessions, but I knew I needed to freshen it up--so adding some new In Color was just the ticket!

My first try on this card was to make it with my old standby green, Old Olive. And while that was nice, I wanted a fresher look so I switched to a 2020-2022 In Color, Just Jade. It's amazing how a little change of color can freshen up a look.

I started with a 3-3/4" by 5" Whisper White Card Stock panel and stamped Seaside Spray "snowflakes" from the "Christmas Gleaming" stamp set (another returning fave) randomly all over. I adhered this panel to a 4" by 5-1/4" Just Jade Card Stock panel and then onto a Seaside Spray Card Stock card base.

Next, I stamped the pine trees in Just Jade Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock. One tree is stamped full strength, two trees are stamped off once. I punched these out with the coordinating Pine Tree Punch and then I stamped the trunks in Early Espresso Ink. PROTIP: Stamping the trunks after punching the trees helps you line up the trunks better.

I stamped a sentiment in Just Jade Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock and cut it out with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies. I adhered the sentiment and the trees to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. I gave the trees a bit of glimmer by brushing on some Wink of Stella.

To finish the card I added 5 Just Jade Snowflake Adhesive-Back Embellishments--another fresh idea from the current Mini Catalog!
