#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   Stampin' Up demonstrators were wowed when the new line of Distinktive stamps were introduced in the Sale-a-Bration catalog. Distinktive stamps are photorealistic, which means you get an image with depth and dimension without having to layer images as with the 2- and 3-steps stamps. You can stamp with one color (as on this card) or you can stamp and color in the image, or you can layer on ink on the stamp with a sponge dauber. There are so many possibilities! PROTIPS: You need to make sure your ink pad isn't too wet or too dry. When stamping the image, I've found it best to hold the edges of the block with my ring fingers and thumbs and apply pressure to the top of the stamp with my middle and pointer fingers.

Let's take a look at this beautiful card that I got in a swap at the Proverbial Stampers & Friends event. This card was made by Sondra Jumper.

Sondra stamped the watercolor wash image from the "Love What You Do" stamp set in Balmy Blue onto a 3-3/4" by 5" Whisper White Card Stock panel.  She also stamped the leaf outline stamp from the "Healing Hugs" stamp set in Pear Pizzazz Ink.

Next, Sondra stamped the rose from the "Healing Hugs" stamp set in Highland Heather Ink, twice, onto Whisper White Card Stock. Sondra fussy cut one of the roses and just the center of the second rose. She stamped the leaves from this set, twice, in Pear Pizzazz Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock and fussy cut them. She stamped a sentiment from "Healing Hugs" in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a 3/4" strip of Whisper White Card Stock and flagged the end with her Paper Snips.

Sondra adhered a 1" by 4" strip of Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper and then wrapped a length of Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon around the Whisper White panel and tied on a pretty bow. Next, she adhered the panel to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Pear Pizzazz Card Stock mat and then onto a Highland Heather Card Stock card base.

She adhered the leaves and the two-part rose to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. For a pretty finishing touch, she brushed Clear Wink of Stella on the rose and added a Gorgeous Grape Glitter Enamel Dot. So pretty!
