I thought the hippo from the "Animal Outing" stamp set would be a good candidate for this technique. I put the stamp into my Stamparatus, inked it with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and then stamped it onto the Silicone Craft Sheet. I used the Stamparatus because I wanted to stamp the image several times so I'd have a very clear image with lots of ink.
Once I got a good image, I removed the Silicone Craft Sheet from the Stamparatus and put in a piece of Whisper White Card Stock. I "stamped" the hippo onto the card stock by flipping over the Craft Sheet and placing it onto the card stock where I wanted my image to be. I rubbed the back of the Craft Sheet to transfer the image onto the card stock.
Then I used the Stampartus to stamp the hippo the "regular" way. Easy peasy!
Here's the finished card. Cute, huh?
I added some leaves from the "Animal Outing" stamp set in Mossy Meadow Ink. To get the "mirror" image here, I just turned the stamp upside down (rotated it 180 degrees). The sentiment is stamped in Mossy Meadow Ink, too.
I colored the hippos with Light & Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends and the birds with Light Daffodil Delight and Light Pineapple Punch Stampin' Blends. I adhered the stamped panel to a Mossy Meadow Card Stock mat.
I wrapped a length of Magnolia Lane Ribbon around a 4" by 5-1/4" piece of Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper and then adhered it to a Mossy Meadow Card Stock card base. I adhered the stamped piece to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
