Daisy Chain Birthday

#stampinup   This week's sketch challenge at the Create with Connie and Mary blog threw me for a loop for a bit. It looked simple enough, but I had a little bit of a creative block.

Fortunately, I spied a piece of Soft Suede card stock that I'd previously stamped in Soft Suede with the "Hardwood" background stamp. I love to pair Soft Suede with Blushing Bride and I had some Blushing Bride 1/4" Cotton Ribbon, so I wrapped this around the Soft Suede piece, as in the sketch.

I thought some daisies would look pretty strung on this wall, so I stamped three of the daisies from the "Petite Petals" stamp set in Soft Suede onto Blushing Bride card stock. I punched these out with the matching Petite Petals Punch.  I used my bone folder to curl the petals of the flowers before adhering them with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added the smallest Metal Rimmed Pearl to the center of each flower.

Finally, I stamped the "happy birthday" greeting from the "And Many More" stamp set in Soft Suede onto a Blushing Bride scrap and punched it out with the Oval Punch. I adhered this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
